Good quality grain and peppy sprouting.
If you are looking for clean, fresh and "sproutable" whole grain rye, these fill the bill. Taste is mild and delicious. After eating these, I do not buy wheat berries, as the rye is tastier.Recipe:ORGANIC RYE BERRIESSprouting: 2 C Rye berries. Rinse. Soak 8-12 hrs. Rinse, drain. Good quality, clean.

Quality product
I buy these regularly to use in bread-making and mushroom cultivation. It is high quality clean whole rye and work well in both applications.

Mushrooms
Very good, but I would call around. You can get it way cheaper if you buy local, but it came just as I needed it, and everything looked good, nothing rotten.

Very good rye berries
Good quality berries, fresh looking. I use to make sourdough starter and to add to certain French style country breads. I have always ground my own flour, for decades. These berries make an excellent rye flour and the flour makes a very tasty and strong-acting, sourdough starter. Highly recommend.

I'm Enjoying the Rye Berries
I've been eating different grains in their more natural state (usually called berries, groats, or hulled). I found these rye berries and was pleased they were at a good price per pound. So far, I've eaten them simply cooked (boiled/simmered) and have been happy with the result.

Good germination rate
This was a good value. The seeds have an excellent germination rate.

Whole Rye No Gimmick Packaging
Cheap and generic packaging but the rye grains are fully hulled smell fresh and grind into a flour easily. I put some in my sourdough starter and within an hour the jar was bubbling. They say that rye contains enzymes and nutrients to help make a starter stronger.
