I didn’t intend to purchase this “Unexpected Kiss” figurine. It was love at first sight when I first stumbled upon its pictures on Amazon. I read the reviews and promptly placed my order. The piece arrived safely just a few days later. It came in a fancy red gift box, equipped with styrofoam case to protect it during shipping. I am so very happy with my purchase!! Wendy startles Peter Pan as she tries to kiss him, while Tinker Bell pulls Wendy’s hair to keep her away from Peter Pan. This is a truly fascinating piece, because it tells one hell of a story!! A classic! These three characters’ poses are so believable as we witness this heartwarming event! I have not been paying much attention to Jim Shore’s work until now. I’ve seen his Peanuts and Snoopy collections, but I never purchased any. Well, I finally got my first Jim Shore’s piece, and I’m absolutely impressed with his unique style, artistry, and craftsmanship!! His sculptures aren’t super refined and thus somewhat retain the folk art quality, which makes his work quite whimsical. The faces, however, have more details than the rest of the sculpture that they are so unbelievably convincing!! I mean, look at their facial expressions, especially Peter’s!! Jim Shore truly captures the essence of Disney!! This sculpture is quite big! I believe around 7.5 inches tall. Great value for the price!! Please note that this sculpture is made in China. It is not made in Italy as stated in the description under Additional Details. A wonderful Christmas gift for myself indeed!! Smiles!!

Purchased for our daughter's 50th birthday. She loves Peter Pan and was definitely surprised. Lots of smiles and giggles.

I am a huge fan of Tinker Bell and I love this. It fits right in with my collection. Jim Shore has awesome stuff. My Favorite!!!

Another beautiful statue my wife absolutely adores. Worth the money and worth the joy in her face when she sees it.

Usually the size proves to be disappointing, but this is better than expected. I love Peter Pan, and this makes me smile when I walk by it.
