Narrated by Roger Allam, the show follows the adventures of seven-year-old Sarah (voice of Tasha Lawrence) and her faithful companion Duck as they learn a variety of life lessons. In this instalment, the best friends visit the beach, find a new place for Cake to live and take a trip to the music shop. Smile, fun, enjoyable series for children
My 3 yr old daughter loves 'Sarah and Duck' and was very excited that she had a whole DVD of it. I love it because it's a gentle, sweet set of stories about a lovely and interesting girl and her duck. I won't say 'pet' as they're more like best friends. I love the way Sarah looks at the world with questioning and inquisitive eyes, but whilst very much taking life in her stride. Their adventures are slightly wacky, but wonderfully imaginative. It promotes friendship, helpfulness, creativity, and a general enjoyment in the world around. It's lovely and calm, but without being boring, and helps encourage that in my child. Plus she finds duck hilarious. 10 episodes in this DVD. I'd definitely recommend. And it's one I happily sit and watch with her too.

What’s not to like!
My granddaughter (age 2 and a bit) introduced me to this programme and I love it as much as she does. The humour is gentle and Roger Allam is a wonderful narrator. The illustrations are quirky so work on several levels. If you haven’t watched yet - please do.
