So glad I bought this book before we went
So glad I bought this book before we went. It gave us all the places to go & the things to do & more so the things to be weary of & not to do it was 100% correct. Wherever I travel next I will be buying the lonely planet travel guide.

Lonely Planet gives a full critique of useful information....I believe
its informative, its full of much that I want to know. I leave for Marrakech next week. and quite probably I'll return to repost as to whether the book was helpful, for I chose to buy 2 books and I borrowed books from library.Over doing it, sure. I am just thoroughly looking forward to my trip with my adult daughter.

Excelent guide and book arrived in perfect condition
The book received was brand new and packed well.Like all lonelyplanet guides it's perfect for knowing more info from all of Morocco. For 500+ Pages is very lightweight and relatively small size, perfect for traveling!

Fully earned its weight in my cycling panniers
It never let me down..gave me great places to stay while touring which I'd never have found otherwise. It was well worth its weight in my cycling panniers, which is probably the best accolade I can give.

Marvellous Morocco
Very helpful when we went for a cheap 4 days in Marrakesh, helped us work out what we wanted to do with our days and evenings. If we return to go to other places, it will be a good guide to getting the most of our holiday.

Good and still practical
Good and still practical. Good read on a big taxi while moving around. Givessels independent advice on routes to take.

A good guide, slightly let down by missing practical info
Reviews of guide books are difficult - it's not just about how good the guide is, but how good it is compared to the alternatives. This is a solid lonely planet guide book, and I think it's probably better than many of the alternatives in many ways.Having said that, it does suffer from some frustrating issues. The format (perhaps across all the new LP guides) means you find yourself having to flick back and forth skipping over random insert-sections (e.g. in the middle of the Fez section). There's also not enough cross referencing - it isn't always obvious where the 'generic' information is going to be, and linking back and forth would be helpful. That's true of the sections at the end of the book, and of the little pull-out boxes on food, etc. which aren't always referred to in the 'eating' section itself (or vice-versa).More generally, while there are lots of great ideas on what to do and where to go, some of the practical detail is lacking for example on approximate costs (e.g. of a desert tour), how or where you might organise particular trips or activities (useful just to be able to compare to what a hotel might say if nothing else), etc.So - a good guide, but could have done with being longer and expanding some of the detail
