Well made, works well
I'm using this to heat water for coffee and tea. I typically use an induction unit, and this is a more than suitable backup. I tested to see which is faster, and it was pretty much a tie. It's more compact and portable than the induction unit, so I'm more likely to use it for travel.

Was hoping to find a made in USA Electric Pot to Top It. But.... It's a Winner
There is Nothing I don't like except not supporting American Workers & Industry... Which I always try first to do first. But... Very Sadly, even old standard "American" manufacturers are mostly outsourcing or internationally owned. (No?) So Anyway, Perfect Size... Not Heavy at all even with it's just over 3 cups of water capacity. Very Easy to Clean. No Grand Internally or externally lit Space Ship Landing Gear Lights. Just a little glow from the outside thru three slits in it's dime size heating indicator. It heats in ample time. From start when filled to Max it turns off in 6 min. 20 seconds... But it is fully boiling by about 5 or a little less. And So Importantly too, for limited budgets or during storm outages and generator use, it is ONLY 600 watts... (maybe 705... see below review) It's Great if you aren't fixing coffee or tea for an entire family or an army... Hate to Love It... But only because it's not made in USA. We've only had it a couple of weeks... So can't comment on longevity. It's lovely, especially for everyday use.... UPDATE. 3 1/2 weeks later. We did not boil it dry but it began to have a very bad burnt rubber smell like the wire on the heating element was overheated and the smell and taste permeated the water. So we returned it and repurchased a small glass carafe electric kettle... but Only because we were not using this one for travel. We were given a refund and I'm sure they would have replaced it if we had selected that option. It probably was just a fluke... Still miss it and love the size and everything above. So nice for everyday use... Come on USA mgfs.

The Mighty Mouse of Electric Kettles
I've bought and returned two different electric kettles now. One corroded on the first use. The top did not come off the other. How are you supose to clean that? I should have just bought this one to begin with. It's compact, which is great because I have no space. I love that the cord winds into the bottom. I did have to work it a little to get it out. You twist the bottom to wind it back in. So, it will never break like automatic winders eventually do. I'd rather work it a little to get the cord out than have a broken winder and a useless kettle. I like the "short" cord other reviews complained about. It was just the right length to plug in without having cord in the way all over the counter. The base didn't move around on the counter, and the kettle came on and off smoothly. I don't need temperature settings. Just boiling water. So, that's a non-issue for me. It was boiling in five minutes or less. Then, shut itself off just like it's supose to. The lid is very snug. So, it will not fall off when you're pouring. A little twist and pull and it came off. It was barely warm to the touch. I used it to make a pitcher of iced tea. After it boiled, I dropped four tea bags in and let it sit while I did other stuff. Came back and poured it into the pitcher, then filled the pitcher the rest of the way with cold water. Took a couple of minutes for the kettle to cool. A drop of soap, some warm water and it was clean. I've got reusable K-Cups. I'm going to try boiling water and dropping one in to make coffee next. I am extremely happy with this kettle. If it's just you, you need a couple of cups of boiling water quick, and want a little electric kettel thst is quck and easy to set up and put away I 100% reccomend this one!

Small
I absolutely love this little hot water pot. I got the teal and it is so cute. I smile every time I use it, it heats up very quickly. I’ve not done a full pot yet, as it is just me. I took it to my small houseboat, and it is perfect and compact enough. I had a small coffee pot, that lasted 4 months, so switched it out with this. So glad I did.

Surges over 600 watts
This electric kettle seems to work fine, except that when I tested it with my solar generator that is rated at 600 watts, it immediately surged to over 700 watts and the generator shut down. I was hoping to take this car camping, but I guess the size and power were too good to be true, so I'll be looking for a smaller one that truly draws less than 600 watts. This one seems fine if your running it at home, and I guess I'll take it into the office since it is a compact size.EDITED TO ADD: After I posted this review, the seller contacted me and offered a refund, and I appreciate that they care about their customers. So I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4.
