These are great for powering a range of devices which support the Sony L series batteries. The batteries seem to be of good quality with great runtimes. The included charger works well although is perhaps not the fastest. These are great for powering a video monitor or portable lighting. The Sony L series is widely used and there are a range of adaptors available to allow these higher capacity batteries to be used with various video equipment.

These work efficiently, very lightweight and cvalue for money. As a mobile live streamer, this has become an important part of our kit.

Bought a set, and discovered that one of the two batteries doesn't charge properly. Brought it up to Smallrig who were more than happy to replace the product for a set that worked. I've bought quite a few of these non-Sony NPF batteries and I've noticed there's a huge difference between their build quality. If you shake the cheaper batteries, you can feel the cells moving inside - that isn't the case here - the Smallrig batteries are solid, marked correctly with their true capacity and don't appear to be losing their charge over time. Recommended.

I have quite a few Small Rig branded products (including other batteries, mini tripos, brackets and lighting equipment to name just a few) so I am well aware of the overall quality of Small Rig products. With this in mind, and also needing some more batteries for my home studio lights, these batteries were an easy choice. Even though the Small Rig batteries have a larger capacity, 7800mAh compared to the 6600mAh of genuine Sony batteries they don’t last as long with my studio lights. There’s not much in it, only 20 minutes or so, but the Small Rig batteries definitely don’t last as long. I wasn’t surprised the Small Rig batteries don’t last as long as the genuine Sony batteries since I have yet to find a third party battery that lasts as long as a genuine battery. The Small Rig batteries are less than half the price of the genuine Sony batteries so when you look at the cost per minute of power the Small Rig batteries wins hands down, and since you get two “for the price of one” the Small Rig batteries are top value for money. Whilst the Small Rig batteries are great the battery charger is mediocre. It’s small and light but it also feels cheap. As far as battery chargers go it gets the job done, i.e. it charges the batteries, but it doesn’t feel that tough. Battery chargers are the inexpensive part of all battery/charger kits so if it does break or fail I can replace it without spending too much. At £66.90 (at the time of review) the Small Rig batteries and charger is great value for money and one I highly recommend. I needed additional power for my BMPCC6kG2 video camera and decided to go for a couple of NP-F970 batteries (and the Smallrig battery plate) instead of V-mount (the more "professional" option). These two batteries give me as much running time as a V-mount battery for a lot less cost (half the cost of a cheap V-mount, or a fifth the cost of the more reputable brands). And these aren't even the cheapest NP-F970 batteries - but I've come to trust that the Smallrig brand won't let me down (and, so far, they haven't).

So far very pleased with these batteries and charger. It's slightly frustrating that there isn't a mains option on the charger, but the batteries have worked fine so far with my Sound Devices and Odyssey recorders / Neewer LED lights.

One battery didn't work from the start and Smallrig had a new one sent out the next day.

Great quality. It's worth the money.

Vorneweg bin ich zufrieden, die Akkus machen einen guten Anschein und bringen gute Leistung. Das, was mir etwas missfällt, liegt an mir selbst: Bedingt durch die Tatsache, dass die Akkus via USB geladen werden, dauert dies die ganze Nacht. Im Nachhinein hätte ich mir die Akkus mit Steckdosen gebundenem Ladegerät kaufen sollen. Mit strukturierter Planung geht es aber.

Le corrispondenti originali Sony sono eccellenti ma hanno un prezzo proibitivo. Poi molti si sono messi a produrle perché sono ormai usate per molte apparecchiature. Ho scelto quelle di Smallrig perché la marca fa ottimi prodotti e ho pensato che anche queste sarebbero state di qualità. Non mi sono sbagliato. I caricatori caricano lentamente ma caricano bene e al massimo, così le batterie possono dare un' ottima performance di durata.
