Day by day
Day 1The box arrives. Damn you, impulse purchasing. Why couldn't you buy yourself something fun, like a sports car or a pony? No, you've bought yourself a bunch of shredded cardboard in foil pouches because you're an idio...ooh, chocolate bars. Scoff scoff scoff.Hey, that's not that bad. It's nearly dinner time. I crack into the Mushroom Pasta. Now, let's be honest. There is very little mushroom and for that matter very little pasta, and the taste is like opening your mouth, tearing open a pack of cup-a-soup and sliding it right on in, which let's face it we've all done once. But be realistic: you're on a diet, you're here to suffer, so get used to it and swallow (phrasing, as Archer might say).I followed up this tasteless treat with a chocolate shake, just because I could. It did, to be fair, taste of chocolate. It also tasted faintly of disappointment and evaporated dreams and something which is likelier to have an E number than a name.I head to bed, my stomach growling.Day 2I am still alive. Still fat. And hungry. It is time to eat (frankly, any time starting a few hours after you begin this diet is time to eat). I select the banoffee porridge, mostly because I prefer my porridge plain and therefore the sooner I eat this monstrosity the better. I prepare it in the now familiar manner (add a small quantity of hot water and then microwave until it reaches the temperature prevailing at the centre of the sun) and consume, assuring my disgusted flatmate that no, it's quite palatable, really. I do not add that cat food is palatable if you're hungry enough.Lunch consists of the cottage pie, though I suspect the creator is not entirely familiar with the concept of a cottage or indeed pie. However, it is the tastiest yet. I have worked out that hot water from the tap is quite sufficient, which saves me boiling 200ml of water every time I get peckish. I go all out and take up the invitation to consume an additional 200 grams of steamed vegetables. I bet you didn't know you could want more steamed vegetables, did you?Later on, I'm considering treating myself to the pasta carbonara, perhaps washed down with a mint chocolate shake. In all seriousness: these are packets that contain powder to which you add hot water and eat. They taste as good as you could possibly expect, and despite my exaggerations they are perfectly palatable. The large variety is a major plus as eating the same two or three meals would get very old very quickly. They are well thought out, well packaged, easy to prepare, and provide a complete diet. This style of diet is not for everyone, but if you are determined to make a difference, I don't think you could do better.

It really works.
I love food and I hate diets so it came as no surprise to find myself at 14 stone 4lbs (200lbs) at 5 ft 9 ins which for my build was about 35 lbs overweight. My wife is a serial dieter and I have 'kept her company' on some awful diet plans over the years. Some of those diets worked better than others but all were a struggle. This diet is different - honestly, it is! We started off using a different meal substitute system that did make progress but the actual 'food' provided was gag-making. After two weeks I had lost both 7 lbs and the will to live. I then stumbled upon this product which is a self-contained plan - everything is included. We bought a starter pack each and settled down for the long haul. (This starter pack even includes the shake shaker.)The 'science' behind this diet is 'ketosis' which apparently means the body is forced to produce chemicals that attack only fatty deposits and not healthy tissue so muscle mass is retained. I'm no bio-chemist so I can't comment other than to say whatever it does, it worked for me.The four elementsof the diet are: the breakfasts, which are tasty; the shakes which satisfy any craving for 'sweet' ; the bars which are unbelievably filling in relation to their size; and the main meals which kept us going throughout the evenings. After the first few days the excess weight started to disappear at a frankly astonishing rate although neither of us experienced any hunger pangs or cravings for non-diet food. In view of the initial success we decided to continue with this diet and bought more items in the range. After one month on this diet I had lost a further 20 pounds. and went on to lose a grand total of 25 lbs plus the 7 lbs on the initial far less endurable diet. In addition to the simple numbers, we are both convinced that the weight loss has been very much targeted at the areas carrying most fat (which seems to back up their sciency claims.) Personally my greatest satisfaction is that my man-boobs are a thing of the past!Potential users of this diet system should be aware that it is an 'exclusive' system in that you must have the diet foods but must exclude just about everything else. Apart from a few chewy bars there is nothing to give your teeth a workout. There is a very helpful and informative guide booklet provided in every pack and it is imperative you read and understand it before embarking on this diet. The one thing you MUST avoid is alcohol in any amount - there are dire warnings of the potentially serious results of combining diet and drink plus there are limitations on individuals with certain medical conditions such as diabetes or heart problems. You must seek medical advice before starting this diet.I wholeheartedly recommend this diet and wish you luck!

Tasty and filling too
Overall very good but all the products are quite strong tasting and the savory items quite spicy there were a few I did not enjoy . By buying the taster pack you get a mixture of sweet and savory and there are a lot of choice .I enjoyed the milkshakes , particularly good because you mix all the shakes ,soups and meals with water. But the bars were my favorite , I found them very filling and I liked the texture as they are quite dense and you really feel satisfied having eaten one. So much so I cut them in half and spread them out over two snacks to make them last longer I enjoyed them so much.I wanted something to take on holiday as I was trying to maintain weight , if I had lost more weight I would have been happy .I ate two of these a day for 14 days and still enjoyed a meal in the evening with the occasional glass of wine ( not really what this diet plan was intended for but suited me ) I would definitely buy these again
