Gem Camera Case for Nikon Coolpix P900 - Weather Cover and Life Time Warranty

Excellent case, good quality, will be using it for my travels abroad.

I don't normally leave product reviews, but as soon as I took this out of the box I could see that this was an exceptional product. I have recently acquired a Nikon Coolpix P900 and needed a case that would afford it the best protection in transit and on days out.The devil is, as they say, in the detail. As I opened the main cover the first thing I noticed was the adjustable suspension straps. These support the camera body, which effectively leaves an air gap between the front of the lens and the bottom of the case. Thus, if it gets dropped then the impact is absorbed by the bottom of the case rather than the camera. Simple.Then on the inside of the top cover there is a mesh pocket with a zip fastener. The smart people who designed this case thoughtfully put a faux leather tab over the zip tag so that when the zip is closed the metal tag doesn't scratch the back of the camera. That is a nice touch.With the camera installed there is still room for a couple of filtersOn the front of the case there is a deep pocket with a good quality zip closure across the top. This pocket is big enough to take the mains battery charger complete with 3-pin plug.The charger was an optional accessory that can also be used from the 12V output in my car: there is room in the case for the car adapter, too.I have two spare batteries which comfortably sit in small pocket inside the case, just behind the camera body.I am also pleased with the removable rain cover, which can be folded up to fit inside one of the two mesh packets on the outside of the case. If you do need to use the cover, though, it has been fitted with two slits through which the shoulder strap can be passed. These have faux-leather reinforcement and look truly robust.The case can be carried with the shoulder strap, the handle attached to the top, or worn on the waist with a belt. Overall this is a nicely thought-out and designed product, which is robustly made and looks like it will last for years.

The bag looks sturdy and it is a good fit for my Nikon P900. The suspended supports inside the bag took a minute or two to adjust and now my camera should be well protected. I ordered direct from GEM via Amazon and delivery was very prompt. Very pleased indeed.

It does the job. I feel my camera is safe in it and I can carry it over my shoulder. I recommend

Have used “Gem” cases before, this one is OK but not perfect. Shoulder strap is just long enough and I’m only 5’11”. The top zipper can be troublesome to close when the camera is inside, but the main nuisance is the two Velcro attached straps which go across the bag either side of the lens to keep it secure. The Velcro in the bag is set too far down and it is difficult to secure it with the result that I have already lost one of these straps as they can come out unnoticed when you extract the camera.On the plus side there is plenty of pockets etc to carry most accessories including lens hood and filters, spare lens cap, and charging cable etc.

Extremely happy with this camera case, took it to Mexico in full confidence, as it is strong and sturdy brilliantly well made, comes wit s carry handle, adjustable shoulder strap with inner zipped pockets to store cables,SIM cards, spare batteries etc, also has two detachable Velcro straps to keep you're camera in place. It is well padded and would have no fears if I dropped it, knowing my Nikon p900 would be perfectly safe. I personally think this is excellent value for money and would highly recommend it.

I bought this item for my husband and he was very pleased with it. It is very sturdy with plenty of room for his camera, lenses and batteries etc. Looks to be very weatherproof and not too heavy.

This is a well-made product and feels sturdy enough to protect your camera in most conditions. The most annoying thing is the strap, it's not long enough and I will have to buy another that fits my needs. The weather cover seems fairly pointless, It doesn't tie up so will fall off if you aren't holding it and there's no opening at one end so you can't take pictures when it's raining.
