Wine away works
A spilt bottle of red left a large stain on our light beige carpet after repeated attempts to clean. We applied Wine Away two days after the spill and after 2 applications the stain is practically gone. Very pleased and amazed that the product actually works. Thank you

Works (almost) every time
I love wine and I'm clumsy. I've tried all the other home remedies like salt, white wine, seltzer/tonic water, etc. and this is the only thing that truly works. This stuff is amazing, even on old stains! If I spill on clothes while I'm out, I spray this on when I get home (after the stain has dried) and then don't wash it until I'm ready to do a full load of laundry (which has been up to a week) and the stain still comes out. Just to warn new users, the stain normally turns blue when you spray it. The first time I saw this happen I was scared I traded one stain for another. But then you wash the garment, or use a damp cloth on upholstery or carpet, and like magic it's gone. There has only been one time where it didn't work 100% and that was on my friend's shirt. I imagine it may have had something to do with the fabric which looked very synthetic/like rayon. So I was tempted to give it 4 stars, because it hasn't had a 100% track record. But then I thought about all the other times it's completely gotten rid of the stain over the past 3 yrs and the stain on my friend's shirt may not have been gone completely but it was barely noticeable. So I have to give it 5 stars. I wouldn't hold a dinner party in my house if I didn't have this on hand. My one bit of advice is use a well-aired room, or at least don't stay close to what you've sprayed. it has a very strong slightly chemical smell that can linger for a long time and tickle your nose. I don't really see this as a problem and I didn't really notice it until a month ago when I spilt some red wine on the blanket I was curled up in on the couch while watching TV. I was too comfy to get up and wash it right then but being so close to the fumes for so long wasn't a pleasant experience.

Great product - let down (slightly) by feeble spray
This stuff really does shift even dried in red wine stains from (in my case) carpet - a whole glassful tipped over a beige carpet in my newly rented flat. "Don't worry," said a friend, "just use Wine Away on it. And don't try and clean it with anything else beforehand" So I ordered some from Amazon and two days after the spill started to clean it. The deep purple stain literally disappeared before my eyes. The pump action spray was however a bit of a let down. I had a large area to "saturate" (according to the instructions) and the spray only delivered a miniscule amount at a time and often none at all. More was dripping from my fingers that spraying onto the carpet. Against the advice on such containers, I thoroughly cleaned a trigger action household spray bottle and poured the Wine Away into that - bingo! Effortless coverage, instant results. What I feared would be either an insurance claim, a loss of my deposit or buying a new carpet cost me just a few quid. I have now ordered two bottles to keep in case of further emergencies (the stain took the entire 360ml bottle to eradicate) but will keep my trigger spray bottle handy in case I need to tackle another biggie. The main lesson though is not to put full glasses of red wine down on the floor...

Works very well! Bought twice!
I originally bought this a couple years ago to use on a red wine stain on a white cotton shirt & sea grass rug (The product is for carpets & fabrics though, but wanted to give something a try on the rug) Stain came out of the shirt well (used a couple of weeks after the accident) good enough to wear the again, but still seen faintly - I was impressed though. On the sea grass rug, it came out of the green fabric trim around the rug, but on the sea grass itself, it just faded the stain, but overall was still visible. Had reason to use it again this week, when a large glass of red wine was spilled in my living room, over a number of surfaces: Grey fabric sofa - perfectly removed the stain. Cream and multicoloured wool rug - stain perfectly removed from some of the cream areas, another application was needed for others (think this is just me missing spots) I also used it on my painted wall & wooden chalk painted table that were victims of the wine (just out of interest) there no effect, repainting needed! 5 stars mainly given for the superb sofa & rug result & would probably give 4 stars for the shirt. Shirt could be replaced much easier than the sofa a rug though! Also, I really like the smell, very fruity! *update* Having recently taken delivery of a second bottle, I needed it on the day it arrived (today) for when my husband bit into a juicy blackberry he was picking and it squirted over a favourite white t shirt - came out almost 100% (still being treated, spray alone) he can’t see it, but I can in a certain light, but def so he can wear it again....and hopefully after washing, it’ll be completely gone!

Removes stains but nozzle is pathetic
Used to remove red wine spill on cream carpet. Amazing result but as others have said the nozzle is not very useful.

The first time I tried wine away was when a bottle of homemade red wine gifted to me continued to ferment in the bottle, blew the cork out and sprayed the contents across my white carpeting. A friend recommended it when I mentioned that I had tried everything to get out the stains - and it worked! A few weeks ago I used the last of that bottle when someone knocked over a glass of red wine onto a Persian rug. Again it worked its magic and there is no trace of a stain. It's easy to use following the bottle directions, a 12-ounce bottle lasts nearly forever, and it has saved me hundreds of dollars compared to having things professionally cleaned.
