MegaGear MG088 Nikon D3500, D3300, D3400, D5100, D5200, D5300, D5500, D5600 (18-55 mm) Ultra Light Neoprene Camera Case

After going through my recent purchases I've just reread the description and because MegaGear "claim" that this "soft" neoprene case protects your camera from bumps I've just downgraded the case to 3 stars because I believe this statement to be somewhat misleading.The reason for this is that in my personal experience, when considering protecting any, £400 or so, fairly weighty DX or FXcamera (considering size) and fragility (when considering it's design and complex inner workings) DX Nikon camera along with its18-55mm attached kit lens, your going to need something that's made from a material that's definitely far more robust than the flimsy and quite thin neoprene material that this case is made from.In a nutshell, DO NOT count or depend upon this case to save your beloved and much loved camera from any "bumps or accidental drops" at all. The reason, as already stated is that the case is way too soft and thin to protect any DSLR camera, and it's connected kit lens from any such abrupt, accidental contact at all.This case is OK in its design but has no inner or outer protective padding at whatsoever. So beware, this case (in my opinion) is for light usage only.And when taking all into serious consideration i definitely believe that this product is over priced considering it's design and construction. I think somewhere around £9.99 would be more appropriate after considering all. So finishing off by saying:Quite dissapointed with my purchase after some more usage and experience with the case.Definitely overpriced.For light usage only!!!!Good for keeping dust at bay.Original review below...A little dissapointed in my purchase. Firstly the quality of the meterial is not the greatest and doesn't offer much protection to the camera at all.The case is ok for short trips out to the park and such like to keep the camera clean but I wouldn't recommend for protection for your precious gear for long haul hiking trips and the like.Summary: a basic case made from flimsy material. Not living up to its brand name because definitely nothing "mega" about this case.Ok for the price but nothing special at all. And actually, because of the construction of the nikon d5600 when taking into account of the flip screen, the case isn't a very snug fit for this model at all.Not worth sending back but can't see the case lasting very long at all.(Personal opinion of particular product based on experience of usage of various camera cases and photography products alike by various brands over many years).

Very pleased with camera case, good fit for my Nikon D3300 with 18mm - 55 mm zoom lens. I wanted something to give it some protection in my cycle handlebar bag so can take it out while cycling. Cannot at present rate its water resistance but sure it will give some protection.

I'm so pleased with this case. It's a perfect fit for my Nikon D3500. Nicely cushioned against minor knocks. Easily popped into a rucksack without bulking it up too much. And very easy to carry around the neck or over the shoulder as the camera straps are totally accessible.

Made specifically to fit my camera so a great fit. Ideal for protecting the camera from minor bumps. However its not at all waterproof so don't use it in the rain.My one disappointment and in my opinion a design fault, is that the handy clip which is attached to the case is in completely the wrong place, for it to be used to attach the case to the camera neck strap. So please Megagear move it to the top of the case in future, where it can be put to good use.

Good product easy to buy and post

This is a great cover for the modern DSLR cameras, it seems well made and although more expensive than some I would say the neoprene is thicker on this cover and enough for a slight knock.Please note that on a Nikon D5500 ( pls new D5600 ) it is a tight squeeze to put the cover on.

Excellent product. Not sure why the camera manufacturers do not supply something similar with their new cameras (keeps the cost down I suppose), but this is a highly-recommended aftermarket product.

Feels really good and good quality. Fits ok to my D5300 that already had a skin on. It also fits just with the belt clip on as well. So quite happy with it so far.
