Great label maker
I work for a telecommunication company maintaining and upgrading cell sites. I had used another brand beginning with a P to label the many fiber connections between the servers and routers, as well as the equipment. Getting the labels to print in a usable format with that unit was a chore, and many times on return visits I’d find the labels fell off and would need to be remade. I was told to get a Brady label maker. Thank God I listened to that advice! The printer is blue tooth connected to an app on your cell phone. This app has many format options for the type of cartridge inserted, it’s smart and knows what you loaded. You can create and preview your label, change format or style and easily print. You can save each type you make and later just recall the file and change the info to what you need with going through a full setup again. The labels are vinyl, with good adhesive and the printing is sharp, even very small fonts are crisp and readable. The only complaint I have is that there is a lot of curl to the label, but bending it the other way fixes that issue. The backing is easy to peel off, another plus over my old label The kit comes with a mag mount and a belt clip to hold the printer, or just place it on a firm surface. There is an internal battery as well as a backup battery so no worries about running out of power. I’ve been using for a few months now and I couldn’t be more pleased. Comparable printers from other manufacturers are 75 to 100% higher in cost, so although pricey it is still a bargain. The labels securely attach and the ones I placed on equipment and fibers some time ago are secure with not even the slightest sign the adhesive is failing, unlike the other label maker. This is a heavy duty unit with high quality and easy to use, if you want a professional look for your labeling needs, look no further.

Looking for a reliable, tough labeler for work.
I was looking for a labeler that is rugged, makes great labels, and came with a rechargeable battery. I opted for this labeler. Just to be clear. . . Yes, it’s pricy. Yes, the cartridges are pricy. BUT, in return, you get a working product that is super easy to create labels. It comes with a great hard-shelled case that houses the labeler, 3 cartridges, the A/C charging brick/cable, and the belt/magnetic clips. I personally use the belt clip. Application: The application, while at first had a small learning curve, is very easy to navigate, and generate labels. I love the functionality of saving labels. I use this labeler every week. My phone connects to the labeler quickly once I power it on. Labeler: The labeler is well made. It has rubber bumpers to protect it from drops. I love that it cuts the label for you. There is an option to trim the label down to avoid waste. I use the belt clip which works great. If you are looking for a reliable labeler for work use, this is the one! You won’t regret it.

Great Machine
Great labeler, the ‘label saver’ option will make it pay for itself in short time.

POS disappointment!
I was so excited! New label printer that works off my phone! The app connected right up... little difficult to work the app as it didn't really follow standard text editing but easy enough... then... Broke on the first use after 8 labels. Screwed me on a job site. And so proprietary none of the off brand labels would work. Wouldn't even recognize some of the branded label cartridges. Neat concept! Pretty device... garbage functionality. Infuriating proprietary misery. Get something else.

Pretty good machine!
The machine is nice and compact, prints well, the app is decent, all ofbthe symbols you can print are pretty neat. Rechargeable battery is a noce plus too!! Using your phone to interface with the printer is actually quite a good deal more inconvenient than I had expected it to be though.

Very handy
This labeler is very handy! I can set it off to the side and with my phone I can go to areas I need to make labels. Or I can attach it to my side or my cart.

Better UI than other models
The user interface is dramatically better than any other Brady labeler. I use this thing for my house and wish we could get them on our job sites. This is the first user interface that didn’t make me hate label printing.

Product Review: Brady M211 Portable Printer Kit The Brady M211 Portable Label Printer is undeniably a high-quality product, offering reliability and an impressive selection of labels, making it an indispensable tool for field work. However, the overall package—the Portable Printer Kit—is let down by an astonishingly poor case design that undermines the utility of the entire setup. The Printer: Field Work Indispensability The M211 printer itself excels. Its performance and the wide variety of available label cartridges firmly establish it as a best-in-class tool for professionals who need durable, reliable identification on the go. This piece of hardware alone justifies the investment for its on-site labeling capabilities. The Kit: A Case of Poor Execution The central issue lies with the kit's hard-sided case and its internal foam insert. Designed to protect and organize the components, it unfortunately functions more like a padded shipping container than a practical, ready-for-the-field carrying solution. Critical Design Flaws 1. Mounting Accessories and Storage: The kit includes two essential mounting accessories—a belt clip and a magnetic holder—both of which are required to be attached using a pair of small, easily lost screws. Compounding this inconvenience, the foam cutouts are simply too tight: the printer cannot be stored with either mount left attached. This forces the user to repeatedly connect and disconnect the mounts, increasing the likelihood of misplacing the tiny screws in a busy work environment. A field kit of this nature should be designed for rapid deployment and storage, not disassembly. 2. Wasted Space and Poor Layout: While the case holds the printer, a battery bank, and three cartridges, the overall layout is an exercise in sloppy space management. An extremely oversized hole dedicated to the charger and charging cables wastes significant volume that could have been used for additional label cartridges, which are the lifeblood of the tool. Recommendation The foam insert and overall case design require serious reevaluation. For a product marketed as a portable kit for field professionals, the case should prioritize accessibility and efficiency. The design should be adjusted immediately to accommodate the printer with a mount attachment comfortably—whether the magnetic holder or the belt clip—left connected, eliminating the need for daily component removal. Furthermore, the excess space dedicated to the charger should be reclaimed and optimized for storing a larger volume of label supplies.
