Has anyone made cheese straws with this. they are an extremely hard consistency to express. i've broken every cookie press i've tried, including pam

Is this truly stainless steel? or aluminum? I've seen other models, all made by Mercato, but some say aluminum. I'm confused.

no handle extension . not necessary when making cheese straws or cookies. I love my Marcato Biscuit/cookie press.

In regards to your question, the press provides two sizes. Easily adjust cookie sizes from large to small with just the turn of a knob; yields 35 to 40 small cookies and 20 to 25 large cookies. Simply remove the top, insert the disc shape, and fill with dough. Each press of the handle advances the dough with a firm, gentle pressure for consistent looking cookies. Good quality, it feels sturdy

20 years ago I had one of them - a cheaper version with a weak screwing mechanism, it lasted until I swapped butter for the bloody cheap margarine -.2 years ago I got a scrap metal from Lidl for 20 euros, during the first use it broke.This one feels heavy and reliable, on the attached photo the cookies were made by my wife, 1st attempt for her in her life.Regarding the recipe, I'm going the old ways, mixing the butter at room temperature with sugar, eggs and liquids, then adding the flour. It's less pressure on the tool.Highly recommend it so far looks to be 6 stars.

Tolles Back-Tool

Sehr stabil, genau bei der Pressung, viele coole Schablonen, leicht zu handhaben und sieht sehr gut aus (pink) . Was ich nicht verstehe, dass man den Teig direkt auf das Backblech geben soll. Das mach ich nicht so. Ein etwas besser ausgeführtes Rezept hätte ich bei dem Luxusgerät erwartet. Meine ansolute Kaufempfehlung, bin begeistert!!
