I’ve been genuinely impressed with the Oakcastle DAB400. The sound quality is excellent for its size, delivering clear vocals, rich tones, and enough power to fill a room comfortably. I love the versatility of having DAB radio, FM, Bluetooth, and a CD player all in one sleek system, making it perfect for both modern streaming and enjoying older music collections. Setup was quick and straightforward, the design looks far more premium than the price suggests, and the Bluetooth connection is reliable and easy to use. If you’re looking for a compact HiFi system that combines great sound, functionality, and value for money, the DAB400 is a fantastic choice.

This is actually a really fantastic Hi-Fi system. Sound quality is clean with warm bass and soft highs. The EQ customisation isn’t great, but to be honest it doesn’t need changing - the standard EQ option is flat enough. The Bluetooth range is very short but absolutely fine if you’re in the room. It’s very easy to use, a good size, looks better than the pictures and works with all manner of music listening methods. Would definitely recommend this.

I recently purchased the Oakcastle DAB400 Hi-Fi System as an addition to my setup in the living room. I often use my tv to listen to music but this allows me to listen without the distraction of a screen playing as well, which also works for my kids (who love dancing while the music plays!) For anybody considering purchasing one of these, I’ve given some pros and cons below: Pros: 1. The system was easy to setup. All the cables slipped into place easily. Once you plug it in and turn it on, you only need to select your language and it automatically scans for radio stations right away. Bluetooth took seconds to connect, so I was playing my own music nearly instantly. 2. The system is versatile. As you’ll see from the description and pictures, there are several listening options and they all work seamlessly. 3. The speakers will get loud without losing clarity in the music. If you’re used to listening to music through speakers, you’ll know this can be an issue but it isn’t one that you’ll struggle with here. 4. For the price you’re paying, it’s a great sound profile that’s balanced at the high and low ends. Cons: 1. Really the only con I have identified is that the low mids in the EQ curve are a tad muddy. That’s not surprising and often the case with speakers at this price point. It’s also unsurprising because they’re so light! That said, the inbuilt EQ options help to even this problem out between different genres. Personally, I found the “Rock” setting worked best across most content. Alternatively, you can adjust the treble and bass frequencies to suit the speakers’ location in your room. Overall, this is a great system and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a compact multi-function option for their home entertainment setup!

I have purchased the Oakdale DAB FM, Bluetooth, radio with aux and CD capabilities. Upon unboxing, the products I was delighted to witness the pristine, brand-new excellently furnished radio, stained in black. This wouldn’t look out of place in an expensive car showroom and for the cast it looks like it’s three times the price. Upon plugging it in, I was astounded to see that the radio set itself in time and dates and was accurate to the second. Trying, the DAB sounded crystal clear, and none of the annoying echo I found with another radio from a different company. CD loads fast and sound crystal clear not to mention the fact that I scanned and I did all 171 DAB stations perfectly. Although we are in a higher strength signal area. Aerial is easy to move around and his bio directional and receives all the channels no matter where it is placed. I don’t know what else to say in terms of positive stuff because I have covered it all and this radio is exceptional. Another thing to bear in mind though, and it could be a downside if I’m being really picky is the fact that the Bluetooth connection when connected to a device sounds a bit muffled compared to the CD and the radio and you have to really turn it up to hear it, but when you do, it’s crystal clear that could be because of the Bluetooth device that the radio is trying to connect to, so it might not be something with the radio . It’s very compact and small Which is good. One thing I found though it might be because of my small room and the Wi-Fi issues in my house, but I found that I had to move it around a bit because it was blocking the signal on my PlayStation for when it was put in a certain position, but again that could just be how my house is set up and not a fault of the radio, so it would be really nitpicky to not recommend it and once I moved it to a different position my Wi-Fi was solid in signal it possibly bit could be because I have a Wi-Fi box in my room so again that wouldn’t be a problem for everybody all in all, though, I would definitely say for the money, the look and sound just buy it, you won’t be unsatisfied. I would like to also mention as a last point is that I love the fact that it has a remote control so the remote control will be working wherever you are in the room and you can turn it on and control it from that, rather than having to press the buttons on the radio, so it’s easy to turn off and on, especially when you want to go to sleep.

Wow, the sound on this is absolutely amazing and what I like is how easy it was to set up and use right from the box. The features I love the most is the built in Dab radio and CD player with easy to search and pick up a signal. Sounds absolutely clear. The stereo itself is premium and well made. If you have a house warming party, birthday party, family bbqs then this is the one. It also has Bluetooth so you can play music from your phone to the stereo. I absolutely recommend this. BP issues what so ever. 🔥

System arrived really well packaged, easy to set up, the sound quality is top notch for the price point. It sounds and looks like something that should be alot more expensive. You can easily connect your phone to it via Bluetooth to listen to Amazon music or Spotify (etc) the menu functions are really easy to use and in colour, over all it functions really well and is easy to use. I like the versatility where you can use CD, DAB or connect your own device. Perfect for our lounge to listen to some good quality music. Would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of this system. Would look great in any setting. Easy to set up. The DAB radio was a must have for me and has a great reception with the built in arial despite being in a rural area.

Prima DAB ontvangst. Geluid is helder en redelijk vol te noemen. Voor een slaapkamer, keuken en kleinere woonkamer prima geschikt betreft vermogen. Cd speler werkt ook goed.

Schnelle Lieferung, guter Preis. Für diesen Preis habe ich fast gar nicht diese Klangqualität erwartet. Egal ob leise oder laut - der Kauf hat sich in jedem Falle gelohnt. Da ich noch sehr viele CD's habe und nach einem handlichen Player mit Radio, USB und Bluetooth gesucht hatte, der "natürlich" einen guten Klang haben sollte, bin ich auf dieses Gerät gestoßen. Durch die Stabantenne ist auch der Radioempfang sicher gestellt. Und durch die kleine kompakte Größe ist der Player schnell mal von einem ins andere Zimmer transportiert. Alles in allem ein guter Kauf.
