This is a yeast that is usually used to produce high alcohol neutral liquor that is then either distilled to make vodka or sometimes it is used " as is" (low strength vodka)and mixed with tonics or cordials and consumed that way. That being said there is no reason you could not use it to make cider but there are better yeasts for this good luck.

See when it says 20% alcohol, is this once the wash has finished or after you've distilled it? I make vodka so I'm looking for 40alc.

With 8kg sugar and 25/30c will give you around 20% abv distill that looking at more like 90% abv or 75/85% in a air still you lot saying distill and will get 40 or 60% are in dream world. It taste vile in anything but a sugar wash to distill.
