If you can afford it go for the 10000
Anyway, as per subject if you can afford it get the 10000 rather than the 9000, that is meant to last a lifetime, this one has an estimated lifetime of 4 - 7 years depending on where you use (size of area) and how often you use it. For smaller areas on a less hirsute person this will be fine!

Slow start!
Where do I start?I've wanted one of these for a long time; epilation is my special subject so to speak and I've been interested in the IPL method for a while but never had the chance to try it. It's expensive in a salon and I suppose l like a lot of people I have had doubts about how it might measure up to the hype; salon treatment is a lot of money to shell out if it doesnt work.OK. Out of the box it looks solid, has a quality feel and inspires confidence. Nothing to setting it up, just plug the wire in and wait a bit. While I was waiting I started to read the instructions. Oh dear! Pages and pages of advice on when NOT to use it, what not to do, possible problems, advice on whether you even have the right skin or hair for it to work at all. I'm sure some will give up at this point and stay with wax/razor or whatever. However in the interest of market research I soldiered on, until I came to the bit whcih says "do not use after sun exposure!". Having recently returned froma sunshine holiday I thought I'd better wait a week or two, and that's where you find me now. I did do the 48 hour patch test jsut as a trial; no problems with that, so when the suntan has faded a bit I will try again. Keep reading!

Fantastic - If your budget allows - try it.
I had heard a lot about this method of hair removal but have never tried it before as salon prices made it very expensive to use, given that you need several sessions to see good results. When I saw this product, I jumped at it as the convenience of being able to use it in my own home in my own time seemed a great idea. While it is not an inexpensive product, it is definitely worth trying. I have used this now for a few weeks and have ensured that I followed the instructions to the letter. They are not hard to follow and I have to say that I am seeing results already. It took about 3-4 sessions but I really think that the regrowth is definitely reduced.I was concerned that it would be painful and while there is a sensation when using this, I would not say it hurts. However, the light is REALLY bright so make sure you don't look directly at it.All in all, this is an amazing product and I love it. I realise that it is not an impulse buy but if the results are permanent as they are meant to be, it is going to be worth the money.

A MUST HAVE PURCHASE FOR UNSIGHTLY HAIR REMOVAL!!!
A Totally dream product. I had been reading about this new hair removal system for a long while and even tried a session in the local salon at a costly price. As the salons only tackle a small area at a time, you are left waiting for a new appointment, taking time out of a busy life to allow yourself a pampering session. However, to have the luxury of the system in a neat home manageable product is nothing short of incredible. The Beurer IPL 9000 SalonPro system does exactly what it says on the box. I have tried it now over the last 4 weeks, following the easy-to-digest instructions to the letter. - What can I say? IT WORKS! No pain obvioulsy as it is based on a light-pulsing system. I have noticed a subsequent real reduction in new growth already - after 3 sessions. It can be used on all areas on the body, incluing intimate and facial hair, there are no side effects (as there are no chemicals involved). I managed to do the whole body in half an hour (taking my time) on my first session. Its sensor detects skin type and contact for complete safety.I felt very comfortable using this great IPL 9000 product and will very highly recommend it to others. It is such a relief now the sun is out not to worry about the odd hair missed by razor or hurtful wax, epilitor pain.. I tried them all and am so pleased to say again, yes it does work, it is effective and I am so glad I took the plunge. Very Highly Recommended

Brilliant product - Better instructions needed.
Great product and I would have given it 5 stars had it have not been for the confusing instructions. All I wanted was a quick guide of how to get started. I understand that there is a lot of information for this type of product that needs to be said about the "Warnings" However I still think there should be a quick guide setup.I'll be really honest, I'm still not sure whether you were supposed to click the button or hold it down.... However You'll know if you got it right because you'll get a tiny, what can only be described as, an electric shock. But it's over in a second.I got a warmth after the flash and then moved onto the next patch of skin. There is a guide on the back about your skin tone and hair colour so that you can match up which strength to put it on.This does not work if you are a natural red head. So be aware of that. The machine itself is plastic but very strong and sturdy. You can only use the machine once every 2 weeks so i've only been able to use it once in the timeframe that I've had it, but already I can notice a difference. A brilliant machine and well worth the money considering what it costs in the salons to have this!

Super, but it takes time
I ordered this a while ago now.I've been doing in exactly like they say in the manuel, and I still have hair, but it clearly diminished a lot.I'm happy with the product, because it's working but it's not agressive, I never had a burn or a redness.I'll have to do a secons round next winter now though, but I don't mind so much.I advise it, but you have to do it like they tell you :)
