![Batman: The Complete Television Series [Blu-ray] [1966] [2015] [Region Free]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71fK9aveanL.jpg)

All 120 episodes from the 1960s live action series following the DC Comics superhero. Vigilante Batman (Adam West) and his sidekick Robin (Burt Ward) fight crime in Gotham City and attempt to bring down villains such as the Riddler (Frank Gorshin/John Astin), the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), the Joker (Cesar Romero) and Catwoman (Julie Newmar/Eartha Kitt). In the third series the dynamic duo are joined by Batgirl (Yvonne Craig), who helps them in their ongoing battle against crime. Review: Nana Nana Nana Nana Aunt Harriet! - The Batman television show is now a of legendary status. I think everyone born between 1966 and 1996 watched the thing every day after school and it has done a great job of lasting the test of time. The show is full of some truly fantastic humour. But it's boosted by some great characters played by some wisely picked actors and it is all here in this fabulously colourful bluray box-set! The adventures of the dynamic duo have never looked better. This box-set has some fantastic transfers of the classic television show. There's more clarity than ever before, revealing all the strings, hidden moustaches and stunt actors that you could have ever wanted. Don't let that put you off because it really jumps out of the television. The colours are very strong, complimenting the '60s themed sets and costumes wonderfully. Everything is now bright and more eye popping than Julie Newmar in that wonderful outfit. Meow! The box-set itself is quite an eye opener. It's just as colourful as the show itself. There are thirteen discs in total featuring all available episodes. Each season has its own slipcase book and is housed in a thick cardboard box. Inside the box, there is also a booklet that contains all the details you'd ever want about each episode. There are no annoying flaps to open, no annoying out sleeves to accidently scuff and tear. It's a very simple package that is as practical as it is good looking. The show itself has in ways aged better than I had expected. The humour is very sharp and witty. There's a lot of puns for each character and they can be side splittingly hilarious. The actual characters are very well done. The previously mentioned Julie Newmar as Catwoman is definitely a highlight. She plays up to the camera with every bit of charm that she has. Her lines are sexy, they're funny but just ooze personality. I also really love Frank Gorshin as Riddler, Burgess Meredith as The Penguin and the legendary Cesar Romero as The Joker. Each one puts in a tremendous amount of energy and attention into their character. It makes them very fun to watch and it honestly never gets old. There are of course a lot of things that might fall flat in 2021. There's some jokes that some overly sensitive soul might think is a bit much and a lot of the language, mannerisms, outfits and the mono audio are pretty dated. But to me, it's much like the original Star Trek. It's all a part of one big package and it wouldn't have been the same without it. It's all a part of the charm and I wouldn't change it for the world. This show is for those wanting a laugh. It's a great fun show that is very safe to watch with your kids and is of much higher quality than the shows of today. It does NOT pander, it is NOT political and does NOT insult your intelligence. This is mandatory family television and I couldn't recommend it more. Review: A quality product. - This is the classic live-action TV series from the 1960's, now available on Blu-ray. The picture and sound quality are superb in HD. I'm amazed at how good it looks, given that it was made for TV some 50 years ago! Okay, this is a silly show - full of parody and humour. It's certainly not my favourite Batman. But it's nonetheless a fun Batman. Adam West and Burt Ward portray their characters so seriously, in such absurdly comical circumstances, and yet the series captured the imagination of millions. The theme tune, the Batmobile, the 'zap' and 'pow' ... it's all so great! I intend to watch an episode once every so often ... as I couldn't sit though all of this in a short period of time! There are 120 episodes in total, all in glorious colour. The sturdy box it comes in is nice; as is the glossy 32 page booklet (episode guide). There are lots of hours of extras. Yet unless you're an avid fan, or intend this to be something for the kids to watch (as children seem to love it), I'd not by it. But as I am an avid fan of Batman, so I bought it ... and I'm enjoying it!

Back to the early sixties!
For me pure youthful sentiment. When this was broadcast, I was a boy of around six/seven. My parents had no television and in order to be able to follow this hugely popular series among young people, I had to look at acquaintances. It was probably the first series I saw of my life. That's why this series stuck with me for the rest of my life. Although I have to confess that after fifty years the stories are no longer vividly in mind, but the characters/bad guys still are. When I heard the begintune, it sounded very familiar right away. I saw the series back then in black and white and I am pleasantly surprised how fresh the colors are on the blu ray. It looks really great and the colourful sixtiescolours splash from your set. The psychedelic camera operation and dialogues make the party complete. After fifty years now I realise that it is a series with a wink. There is humour, over the top-acting and moralising messages are so thickly placed on top of them that it is more funny than annoying. For example: Robin is pushed from a building with his hands tied; Batman quickly throws his iron batwing thingy and Robin grasps it with his teeth in his fall! Batman pulls him up and explains the importance of always brushing your teeth! Don't watch too many episodes one after the other because they all have approximately the same pattern. Provided you take it in a dose, it is very pleasant viewing. I recommend this to people who love the early sixties and to those who’ve watched it when they were young. I bought this (beautiful executed) box for a very low price and it is worth every penny for it.

Holy Value Batman !!
Great boxset containing the complete adventures. All episodes plus bonus features in glorious blu ray quality. Still great fun adventures starring Adam West and Burt Ward with the usual gang of comic book villains - Penguin, Riddles and Joker plus others like Mad Hatter , King Tutt and Mr. Freeze and more. Suitable for the whole family , no bad language and tame comic violence.

Quality is superb
As a fan of this since childhood, I took a punt that my 4 and 6 yo would like it. I was not disapointed. I remember my father watching it when we had it on as kids on a Saturday morning. He had watched it in the 60's and loved it. The quality of the picture is superb, they have done a great job remastering it. So glad I went for it.

Holy restorations Batman!
The restoration on these Blu Rays is magnificent. Every episode is beautifully restored to vibrant colour. And whilst it may only be a mono soundtrack it sounds crystal clear. I cannot fault the quality. So what do you get? Well you get all 3 seasons of Batman from 1966-1968. Each season comes in a cardboard foldout set, with colourful images on the cardboard. You can see that some discs are stacked. My only complaint is the bits of tiny plastic that holds the discs in for the 2 discs breaks if you're not careful with it. You also get a booklet telling you the contents of the discs, including which guest villain is in each episode. There is also a whole disc of bonus extras. There is original audition footage not only for the successful Batman of Adam West, but also the same scenes for Lyle Waggoner as Batman! Then there's my favourite, a pilot for Batgirl joining the dynamic duo. It's only about ten minutes and the quality isn't as great as the rest of the series, but it's great to see There's also a bunch of grown up fan boys having a round table discussion with Adam West, which is fun, Adam West talking about his life and career as Batman, and another feature on memorabilia. I live in Australia, these discs have not been available locally. I'm thrilled that I can watch them now. It's funny, but they are still such fun to watch all these years later. The guest stars and cameos now make great sense to me.

The Bat-tastic Batman
As a lifelong Batman fan, I thought it was time that I bought and watched the original Batman tv series, especially as Adam West just passed away. My first Batman was Michael Keaton so I wasn't familiar to Adam West until I got a bit older, but I had to go back to the original series and I wanted to pay respects by buying this series on Blu Ray. At most I ever saw of this show was clips online and it was stupid but in a fantastic way. Actually watching whole episodes, I am a huge fan of the campiness. This may be one of my favourite purchases ever. It's a great show that just brings joy to everyone that watches it.

Great
The picture quality was great, better than other blu rays I've purchased. My dad loved it. The only problem was it was one of those big boxes with all the discs crammed in, some right on top of each other.
