I love these chains so much that I have purchased 5 of them. They look delicate but are actually very sturdy. The clasps are small but I have never had a problem using them. I had one of the chains in my hand while walking through a gate and wasn’t paying attention. I accidentally caught the chain on the latch to the gate while walking through and felt a pretty good tug. When I realized what had happened I was sure the chain must have snapped. Much to my surprise the chain was fully intact. I can’t believe it didn’t break. Honestly, I can’t imagine anyone giving the chains a bad review. I’m so glad I found these chains. They are very good quality, affordable and pretty. They look delicate but in fact are very durable.

It is VERY thin - but that is what I expected. This is the 4th or 5th items I've purchased from this company over the years and it is just a beautiful as all the previous buys. I realize I will have to be extra careful with it due to the delicacy but it is what I wanted and I happy with my purchase. Since I just received it, I cannot address sturdiness or what weight of pendant it will comfortably hold. I'll update if there are any problems.

I needed a 22 inch gold chain for a cross I wanted to wear. I bought this chain based on it's size and the reviews I read before I purchased the chain. When I first opened it, it was lovely, shiny and a perfect fit for my cross. I have worn the cross constantly until a fall required I remove it to facilitate application of topical analgesics to my neck. I was keenly disappointed when I took off the necklace and discovered that the majority of the chain hade turned black. (see photo) I am really sad that the necklace did not hold up to continued use; perhaps something other than 10K gold next time.

I purchased this necklace for myself for alphabet bead charms. It is beautiful, but SUPER delicate, so definitely not a permanent fixture type piece to wear all the time. My charms did not fit over either clasp end, so I had to take it to a jeweler who cut the end to put the charms on before soldering it back on. It's perfect and exactly what I expected, just definitely don't wear it to bed or with knitted type tops to avoid the risk of anything catching (not because it isn't well-made and solid, because it is, but because it's just so delicate)! UPDATE November 2015 (changed from 5 to 4 stars): I'm very delayed in this update! I believe I wore the necklace twice, so this must've happened within a couple of months after I purchased it last year. But it did break. I had three very, very, tiny and light charms on it - which had nothing to do with the break. I think a piece of my hair just happened to get stuck and lightly tug on it. So, if you get this necklace and wear it, I'd go as far as avoiding ANY clothing from touching it as well as wearing your hair up and away to avoid what happened to me. It really is that delicate.

This item is very, dainty, worded in the ad as “delicate “. For its daintiness that seems bound to break for everyday wear; it is priced about $15 to high. Perfect for occasional wear with a charm pendant though. Delivery was on time.

THREE YEAR UPDATE: Bought end of 2020, now it's Jan 2024. I still have the same round pendant (weighing 2.27g) on the same chain. I do not remove it when I sleep, shower, or workout. It shows no signs of damage or wear! I have no clue how everyone else is having breakage issues; perhaps the quality control is inconsistent. I am not careful with mine, so it gets snagged occasionally on clothes/hair, and it's holding up great. Highly recommend. (Also, sometimes with gold alloys that have a low percentage of gold like 10k, I have issues where the metal reacts with sunscreens containing zinc, leaving gray marks on my skin. That has not been an issue I've noticed with this chain.) ONE YEAR UPDATE: Still fine! Bought in Nov 2020, writing this update in Dec 2021. Hasn't broken. Clasp quality concerns were unfounded. I have worn jewelry relatively infrequently during this pandemic (let's all stay home!) but when I put it on, I keep it on for days at a time, including showering, working out, sleeping, etc. ------------------ Just opened it, so I can’t comment much on the durability or sturdiness. It’s the longer chain in my photo with the round pendant. Pros: Good price. Prime shipping. Looks exactly how I wanted, an almost-match for the other necklace I’m wearing in the photo. Cons: Clasp is difficult to “unstick” from its closed position - feels like one day I might not be able to get it off. Velvet bag says "KoolJewelry," which I wouldn't like if I were buying as a gift. Undecided: I’ve had multiple gold chains about this thick break before over the course of regular daily wear lasting several months. Plus, the solid pendant I’ve put on it isn’t exactly light. Hope the chain holds up! Will update if it breaks.

I am getting some family jewelry ready to pass on to grandchildren. Chains do get broken over the years. I ordered one chain to check the quality and then ordered two more. Very happy with my purchase.
