Good knife.
Great knife, sturdy, sharp, just the right size for carrying in the pocket.

Love it
This is a great little knife, better quality than I expected. I use it for daily tasks like opening boxes. I might buy another one to keep in my car and maybe one for my hiking backpack too. I had to find a video that explained how to close it but otherwise all good!

Possibly the best EDC blade at any price
I have purchased two of these knives, that's how impressed I am with them. One is my primary EDC knife, the other I purchased for my thirteen year old son to use in Scouting. Both are black handled but mine has the black coated blade so we can tell them apart. About the coating, yes, it is flaking off, though not as bad as some other reviewers seem to be doing.About the knife itself let me say that this is simply the best designed folding knife I have ever owned. I have knives from Spyderco, Buck, KaBar, Schrade and Gerber and this knife is my favorite (though the KaBar Dozier is a very close second). The handle is unrivaled comfort-wise amongst my folders and even bests many of my fixed blade knives. The full flat grind AUS8 blade takes a wicked sharp edge easily and holds it very well. My blade is perfectly centered when closed and has zero play in it when open. Opening this blade with one hand is easy and as quick as any assisted opening blade I have used.If I were to pick nits (and I will) the only issues I have with the knife are: 1, it could be just a touch less heavy. At five ounces it is certainly noticeable in the pocket. 2, the liner lock on my example is at about 75% when the blade is open. This is not a 'problem' per se, but a concern. Hopefully as the knife ages the lock bar doesn't continue to move further out towards the far side of the blade, as this could potentially decrease it's ability to effectively lock open the blade. However, this is an issue I have only with the black coated blade, the un-coated bladed knife I gave to my son doesn't do this, and the lock bar is set at just under 50% of the blade. All in all whenever anybody asks me to recommend a quality and affordable folding knife (I have a bit of a reputation as a "knife geek" among my friends), this is the knife I recommend. Certainly one can spend more money on a good folder, but the return on your dollars is a diminishing one. The materials, design and fit and finish on this knife are excellent. My own experience is that properly treated AUS8 steel performs very comparably to the far more expensive VG10 used in much more expensive knives like Spydercos.Really, for under thirty bucks you get a knife that can go head-to-head with pretty much any 100$ folder. Why not get one?

Thought I'd try it...wasn't disappointed
I was told that this is a relatively unknown knife that deserves more attention. It is relatively comparable to others in size, weight, design, and sharpness. Thought I'd give it a try and put it through its paces. First impression? It held its own and did surprisingly well. The edge dulled somewhat but with a field sharpening stone, the edge bounced back. With more dedicated stones, the edge came back to razor sharp. Solid built although I'm not impressed by the overall length. But line? It's a keeper and a fantastic knife to have in your car's toolbox or, in my case my go-to bag for outdoor use. Easily adaptable to most applications and strong enough to complete desired tasks with little or no worries. Minus one star? Has some issues that definitely can be improved upon but that can be more personal choices and is most certainly not a deal breaker. Need to find out other Ontario knives I've been avoiding for all this time, if this knife is a representative of the quality of this knife.

Best knife deal anywhere, period.
I've bought and lost a whole bunch of knives in my 40 years, I've paid anywhere from $10-$150 for a good edc to wear on my side or in my pocket, and I don't go around handing out five stars just for the hell of it. This is a very well built knife with waaay too much attention to detail for $27. The g10 is smooth and durable, the lock is strong, the grind is smooth without any grind marks to take away from the edge, and the feel of it is that of a $100 or more knife. I know what your thinking, feeling, you're sitting there right now with an Amazon gift card you got from your wife's, sisters, third cousins, brother in law and your thinking, "a $27.00 knife? No way, I'll just put an extra $30 or 40 on the credit card and make a good excuse when my wife opens the bill. Well, stop, click it and buy it and in a few days from now you'll be clicking that fifth star too. The only thing amazon hasn't figured out how to do is let us put our hands on something before we buy it, I hate to buy things without holding them first, but I've never once had a problem with a return, so rest easy and if you like the feel of a quality built knife but don't want to shell out $100 or more, then don't look at another one, buy it, you'll be happy you did.I want to add one more thing, I LOVE an assisted opening knife. It sucks to try to wear blisters on ur thumb while practicing the barney fife fast draw and trying to make it snap open, I sound like I'm making money off the sale of these knives, I wish I was, but unfortunately I'm not. So if you're wondering if this knife will suck without assisted opening, stop, it is as smooth and fast as any Kershaw knife I've ever owned that had the assisted opening. I'm not a brand loyal guy unless the brand is good, I can't fuss about it being made in Taiwan because my drawers was too, besides, does it really matter where something was made, as long as it's made right?
