Master Piece of Quality
When radio arrived I was cautious these radios are priced in upper reaches of scaleIt came in rather nice box and looked much better than pictures show when radio is unwrapped.I switched on and my local radio station came on after the scan.First thing that impressed me was a list of stations in alphabetical order is listed on LCD screen you scroll down to chose the station etc .Instructions are included so another positive here and clear and concise.Sound on initial listening is ok a vintage type of a valve radio a little bass heavy but not enough to be a negative. But I sorted on 2nd attempt instead of using graphic equaliser settings of types music genre I selected my settings and reduced bass to minus 4 and treble to plus 2 , here we get a more balanced sound and colouration is gone . Remember IAM being very critical as my main component Hifi is Yamaha and Bowers wilkinson floor standing speakers etcAscetic appearances is of a hybrid radio of 60s/70s but the Dab and other features move radio back in today's modern world technology .The LCD screen has nice analogue clock on it.So well done Roberts I may purchase a 2nd as a gift if long term this radio ( For Bedroom) performs well etc

A beautiful radio
I spent some time researching my purchase of a new alarm radio. I'd had an old Roberts alarm radio which was great and still working fine, but it wasn't DAB. This RD70 in Duck Egg Blue is expensive, but worth every penny. Because the time display is small and set on top of the radio, I also purchased a simple digital alarm clock https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09277XRZ6?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_dt_1 (not bothering with the alarm of course) so that I can see the time easily. This way I get a quality alarm radio AND a visible clock, albeit in two products. The instructions with the RD70 are really clear and it's relatively straightforward to operate/set up. The sound is rich and quite 'bassy'. It's good to have the opportunity to adjust bass and treble, BUT my only slight beef is that on low volume the treble (in voices for example) is lost. If you're hesitating, DON'T. It's a great product if a little pricey.I hope this helps

Revival RD 70 RED
In the second half of the 50s, pop art revolutionized the British society in particular, in its customs, culture, designer of objects, architecture and fashion. This is a practical demonstration of the beautiful and innovative things that were brought to light at that time. The best of excellence! Now I have a faithful reproduction of that era, a fantastic radio with the same and 50's finishings !! Full-bodied solid wood cabinet, with an elegant leather covering, bright red color that combines with the refined golden front grille. Moreover, this beautiful bright red, blinding, integrates perfectly into the surrounding environment, closed, creating a balance in the liveliness of the classic colors that integrate it. The functions, properties and applications of this device are so many, impossible to list everything !! I downloaded the complete guide from the Roberts home reference site. In this Revival RD 70 I am struck by the excellent sound quality. It incorporates a powerful audio driver with preamplifier. Fantastic bass reflex!Passionate audiophiles, like me, can see the huge difference in the timbre of the diffused sound, as in this case, from a wooden acoustic box, unlike the usual plastic speakers or similar. This radio, unlike the other models Revival by Roberts integrates a screen with color LCD display, which illustrates the information, images in real time typical of the visual radio. In addition, this device, compared to other models, can be powered with only four batteries, 1.5 volts, size AA.- I use four 1.2 volts - 2800 mh rechargeable batteries, recently purchased on Amazon, with a slow charging charger, about seven hours to get a full charge. In this way the radio works for about twenty hours without interruption. For the cleaning, care and treatment of leather upholstery of Roberts products, I use a conditioner for skins with natural ingredients from a well-known company from Ashington. Good deal!!

Exceptional Midrange Clarity in a Classy Portable Radio
As a professional musician and teacher with experience in both amateur and professional studio environments, I’ve been around some high-quality gear. After repeatedly coming back to this model during my research, I finally decided to purchase the Roberts radio—and I’m glad I did.The speaker is exceptionally well-tuned to the midrange, which more than compensates for a slightly restrained (but by no means disappointing) bass response. Given its portable nature, this is an understandable trade-off.That said, the vocal tones and horn clarity are among the best I’ve heard in recent memory. This makes the radio a perfect match for listeners of spoken word, jazz, classical, and folk—but regardless of your genre preference, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. The Bluetooth gain is a bit underwhelming, so don’t be afraid to crank the volume. It’s not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of.Overall, a solid 5-star product. You’ll be impressed.
