Handy guide for dressing knives
This works well with the angle guide, to dress the knife between use. If your knife is very blunt you will need something else to bring it sharp, then this steel will keep it in great condition

The guide was difficult in honing the right side edge as you drawing it tword you. With out guide on its a solid honing stone

It’s a poor design. It could easily have been set up with both a 20 and 17 degree angle for the price. But it was not. Sad. So I. Am only do half my knives. The actual sharpening quality is mediocre at best. And it’s made in China. And it takes up too much space to store.

Does not hone smoothly
I love the idea of the angle guides, but unfortunately this rod does not hone knives smoothly. As the knife edge is drawn down the rod, there is a rough feeling as if there are burrs on the rod. This was given as a gift and opened a few days after the warranty expired. When I contacted customer service I was ghosted after this interaction. The honing rod was part of a gift packet for my son who is moving out to his first apartment, so it was not opened until just recently. I hope the few days past the warranty period of an unopened item will not impact your company's ability to stand behind its product.
