Leonardo Da Vinci: The Complete Works

This is a great little art history book, I read some of the other reviews on here before purchasing and so knew to expect a small book. I found the size very convenient for carrying around in my bag and think that it makes it look rather quirky and appealing. I have always been interested in Da Vinci like many people and began looking for a book to give me some insight into both his life and works, this book provided everything I required. It is a lovely, good quality little hardback with a lot inside! The book contains the full works of Leonardo Da Vinci and also a biography of his life and works. The paintings are presented in surprisingly incredible detail to say what a tiny book this is, however some of the larger works of art are spread over several pages (e.g. The Last Supper) but this allows you to see finer details instead of the painting being crammed in in a smaller format, which I do appreciate. This is the perfect item for anybody interested in learning more about Da Vinci, or who wants his complete works at their fingertips.

Best artist and inventor.

This is a very informative book with just the right balance in the commentary of Da Vinci's life vs. analysis of the works of art. I hadn't realised quite how small the pages would be, which really cannot do justice to the images, but otherwise a nice volume.

I thought this book was initially going to be bigger but it's not it's petite and crammed. But in all honesty it doesn't bother me as i really just wanted something that had a complete collection of his works, with a bit of insight into his methods and techniques of that time. So aside from having to squint to appreciate some images it's value for money!

No text except dates but well reproduced paintings that you can zoom into. A good introduction to his artistic work.

The book is very small as many others hand pointed out, in fact its about the size of my hand (a little bigger than a "pocket book"). The product features Da Vinci's work completed in pictures with a lot of information about the artist. It's ideal for someone who wants to know more about Da Vinci or study from his works. Although if your looking for something large with all the high quality images of his work this may not be for you ( although it does provide additional close up images for the smaller details in the works.) solid 9/10.

Super addition to my collection

You can see by the photo what I got. Has all glossy pages. Has pertanaint information on his paintings and drawings Probably 6" X 4" and nearly 2" thick.

Rather small but essentially the most complete printed book of the master Leonardo DaVinci works of art

This is a good and very BASIC book about Leonardo da Vinci's works. If you want to look for BASIC information for a speech, it has almost all the information that you need. And the pictures make it look more understandable. Even though it is not a picture collection book, it is useful for those who need information to work with and for those who want to know more about Leonardo da Vinci in a basic way. Overall it is a good book, with each "hard made material" page and color page, that help us get a clear start in learning about Leonardo da Vinci. Hope this Help :)
