I need something pretty strong to tame my very straight hair, and this works well, doesn't weigh my hair down or look messy, and it smells good. I can comb or brush it all day and it still holds well.

I have been a long-time user of American Crew products and with a recent order of American Crew hair product a couple small samples of new Trendstarter hair products arrived with my order. When I tried each of the two I noticed a couple of common traits with the Trendstarter products that were issues for me with American Crew...(1) The Trendstarter samples were each of a softer texture which made them easier to apply evenly to my hair. This made it also more efficient requiring slightly less product to cover completely.(2) Each of the samples had a very pleasant scent, another feature that American Crew products generally lacked.I am truly impressed so I just ordered two more items from Trendstarter as I am extremely happy so far.

This stuff is basically perfect. Not sticky. Not crunchy. Not greasy. Just adds a little shine, moisture and hold. Perfect for my short wavy brown hair.

Great product - amazing hold yet flexible.

I always loved the Matte Finish Paste/Wax, and have this a try for my longer hair. It feels nice and it keeps my hair calm, but the humidity in FL makes it feel greasy after 6-7 hours, (plus I touch my hair too much).I always recommend Trendsetter products!

The product itself is fine. It does what it purports to do, namely, makes my hair a little bit more likely to stay in place. I would just caution anyone who is sensitive to scents, as it seems I am, as the scent in this product is extremely powerful, to the point of being overwhelming. It is that traditional “man” Sandalwood kind of smell. It reminds me of the scent used in old speed stick Deodorants. It’s not unpleasant, exactly, but it’s too strong, at least for me.

This stuff is not too greasy or too heavy and helps to define & hold hair in place. Takes a tiny bit to work so it will last a long time. This is one of my go to every day products that I use.

Handles like a bit more of a pomade vs American Crew forming cream, which very much has a slight gel feel to it.Smells amazing, like a subtle men's fragrance. I prefer it much more than American Crew forming cream.I have medium length hair and what I really like is how natural this product is. Not very shiney at all. The hold can be as light as you want or heavier, depending on how much you use.
