Homecraft Bath Board Savanah Slatted Bath Seat, Bathing Aid - 686 x 232 mm

This is a well-made seat which I found easy to fit - I also bought and fitted a handle which makes it even better to use. I had an operation on my left foot some years ago and while in plaster and unable to stand borrowed a wooden bath seat from a relative so I could shower. When planning for the same operation on the other foot a couple of months ago I thought I should buy some up-to-date kit and ordered this on the internet. I then got into real trouble with my partner who is an Occupational Therapist and said I should have consulted her first (a fair point in retrospect). Fortunately when the seat arrived she passed it as satisfactory after thorough inspection. It was easy to fit and feels secure and very safe to use. I later added the appropriate handle which fixes to the seat - this was also easy to fit and again feels very safe and secure. The appearance of the seat is good and it is easy to keep clean. Although I won't be using it in the long term, it feels robust and well-made and I would think should last well. I certainly intend to keep it in store. All in all, while more expensive than some other seats, I think this is very good value for money and it has certainly made my experience of showering while being non-weight-bearing much less of an ordeal.

Good quality Bathboard, fits like a glove. Some funny looking glove? It's Value for Money and very easy to install and use. Had to adjust the fittings to my bathtub size and when I sat on it, it creaked, but took my weight. Happy with this purchase and looking forward using it every bath time.

As the photograph shows this unit does not look like a traditional bathroom mobility aid. My bath is both short and narrow and the fitting of this bath board was about 2cm too wide from the wall to the shower screen so a water seal was unable to be made. A bit of DIY was called for to cut it down and now it fits perfectly. There are wooden batons inside the hollow plastic casing - which also had to be made a little shorter so that the plastic end caps could be re-attached. They are glued to the white plastic but can be removed with careful use of a sharp bladed instrument. Once the end caps were pushed back in and sealed with some white mastic the whole thing looked pretty good and easily took my weight of 74kg with no movement at all. The bracing mechanism appears to be quite sturdy and has stainless steel bolts rather than mild steel which would rust pretty quickly. The mechanism is held onto the slats with self tapping screws which I assume also to be stainless steel. If not they will cost very little to replace. Not used it to actually shower with yet as it only arrived this afternoon and I want the sealant to totally dry out but I do not forsee any issues. My wife has taken to decorate the board and I think it looks just fine. I will update this review if things do not work out as expected.

Easy to install. No tools needed. Board just slots into/onto the bath and as long as it’s a snug fit, the board is very secure and has never even wobbled when I’m transferring. It’s worth checking how snug the fit is before every use as I have found that the bolts loosen slightly when the board is not in place in the bath - only problem with it but easily fixed 👌 Someone with dexterity will be needed to put the board together initially, someone with limited hand function would struggle. Wide enough to feel secure when sat on it, wide enough that it doesn’t cut the circulation off to your legs if sat on it for more than 5 minutes. Does exactly what you’d hope for in a bath board - comfortable, secure and good value for money 👌

This bath seat feels very solid, safe, and comfortable. I also bought the handle to go with it which elevated the feeling of safety for me. The whole setup looks sleek and modern and useful for everyone . If you have weak hands or are not good at flat pack assembly then I would recommend you get help to assemble and fit it to the bath. I recommend this item and the handle you can buy separately.

Brilliant bath board, easy to fit, slightly slimmer than our last one but very comfortable, sturdy and strong. Good price and quick delivery. I would be happy to recommend this board 5*****

Good quality, well made looks great.

Seat itself is sturdy when placed on the bath, however the parts to fix into place are missing in the box so seat will not sit locked onto the bath. Otherwise a good product.

j'ai testé cette planche de baignoire ce matin :je ne l'ai pas fixée je l'ai simplement posée sur la baignoire d'un coté a l'autre elle tient trés bien elle est trés stable ce qui me permet de la déplacer facilement si besoin c'est un confort supplémentaire pour la toilette je la recommande je viens de commander en plus un petit tabouret d'acces a la baignoire

Stabile Ausführung speziell für mich ( 130 Kg ) sehr gut geeignet.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per risolvere un serio problema di accesso alla vasca. E' molto stabile, montaggio semplicissimo e rapido, si può rimuovere con un gesto quando non serve. Una volta montato, il sedile appoggia sul bordo della vasca( meglio avere le misure esatte): ci si può sedere e ruotare portando le gambe all'interno. Personalmente, quindi lo uso come "ponte" per superare il bordo vasca, ma è comunque un ottimo sedile se si vuol fare una doccia senza stare in piedi. Una soluzione semplice e sicura ad un problema per me molto serio. Il materiale è robusto, sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto. Arrivato nei tempi previsti.

Non sono riuscito a trovare di meglio, ho dovuto adattare gli attacchi avvitati spostandoli all'interno usando un trapano con punta HSS per fare le nuove sedi alle viti inox. Ma il problema è mio, perchè la vasca da bagno ha 60 anni, è stretta e bassa... da anni avevo uno sgabello di plastica ma era diventato traballante e pericoloso, siamo vecchi e le articolazioni doloranti non facilitano i movementi. Riguardo aIla panca, è di materiale ottimo, è costituito da doghe di legno rivestito di PVC spesso, una volta regolate e serrate le viti di regolazione, la panca non si muove di un millimetro, rimane incastrata tra le pareti della vasca e riesce a reggere il mio peso di 120 kg senza che esso fletta. Avevo già trovato un paio di sistemi per la vasca da bagno, ma non hanno risolto il problema, spero che questa soddisfi me che ho 77 anni, e mia mamma di 100 anni che vive con me. Ho aggiuto sulle piastrelle delle grosse maniglie aggiuntive di sicurezza a ventosa per aggrapparcisi, facilitano i movimenti all'interno, e l'ingresso e l'uscita dalla vasca (doccia)
