Very solid and fits tight. Feels heavier than I imagined even though the description has the weight listed, but that makes it strong and ruable. Once it is in it is very easy to use with the included bungee netting large enough to handle a significant amount of gear. In my case, I am not loading it that high because a) I don't need to 99% of the time and b) because I like to be able to see over it with my rearview mirror. The mounting height is perfect IMO because it lines up with the top of the rear seat, so you have a good amount of space above it and below. Installing takes a bit of effort by one person so I suggest getting help if possible. If on your own find a cardboard box or something like that to help hold it up to make attaching it to the "legs" easier. The instructions are pretty good but it doesn't tell you that with the legs loose you have to hold them up to get the basket in between the two. It fits tight but it fits well. Only downsides from my point of view: 1. if you want to remove the top from your Wrangler you will have to remove this cargo basket. 2. The legs would be much handier if they had a few slots in them so you could attach a molle bag or other light weight accessory. I have a bag for my recovery boards, which fit perfectly in this basket with room to spare for other small items. I plan to carry my air hose in there also. Temporarily I strapped my first aide kit to the bottom of the leg on one side and my air up/down bag under the other. I plan to find a way to attach them on top of those legs eventually. Overall I am very happy with this setup. A little heavy but the other brands that compete and are lighter are nearly triple the cost and for that I don't think they are worth the money. This works great, on and off road without any rattle or banging so for me...happy I bought it.

I never write reviews. This basket is well built, very easy to install, took less than 30 minutes alone. Provides much needed added packing space. 100% would recommend, especially given the price point.

I was looking for a rear cargo rack for my 2 door JK and could not find one, they are all for 4 doors. I took a chance and purchased this rack, made an adapter for it and it fits perfectly (I took out the rear seat, since it's not needed). I also wanted it to sit a bit higher for my 2 dogs that I keep in the back and with the adapter it works out perfectly. The rack is solidly built and made out of steel and not aluminum, I like this feature as it allows me to attach magnetic lights on it to illuminate the area behind my jeep. It comes with a cargo net to keep things secured and also a pad to keep things from sliding around, the pad's construction is similar to a mouse pad. I am very pleased with it as I can carry all my gear in the jeep along with my 2 GSP's in there. I would recommend this product.

This is easy to assemble even with on person. The newer bracket is just 1 piece for each side so 1 person can do it. I have replace my roof bolts already with easy to remove hooks so no tool needed til the end. Great they it come with anti slip mat and a stretch net. They also padded all the surfaces under the bolts to help prevent rattles. 1/2 max to install - less if you have set up and socket pulled . All parts came wrapped in heavy plastic bags and surrounded with foam inside the box -well done ! My project for next weekend got done way ahead of time!! The shelf is heavy and well made as are the 2 brackets. If you think you might need to remove it from time to time to haul something tall I would replace the nuts holding the shelf with wing nuts so you could undo by hand quickly if needed. It sits at a perfect height just below back seat and does not block any viewing-until you load it up .. I have a large tub for my off road items in the back and it still has a few inches before it touches the bottom of the shelf . Also I was able to reinstall my flashlight and fire extinguisher on the posts once the shelf was in - almost the same spot . Over all an excellent shelf and easy install.

Solid construction and design, quick install. Fit perfectly. Doesn't really "add" space but it does allow you to organize and pack more efficiently. It would be nice to add some hard sticky matt to the top just to keep things a little more quiet. Overall I'm happy, really like it

Can hardly wait to use this on my next trip to the beach. I was able to install it by myself but had to use an adjustable height stool to prop up one side as I bolted the other side. Just a little awkward and slightly challenging for an older person as me with arthritis everywhere. Time and patience. Very sturdy and a good value. Nice addition to my Jeep Wrangler. So far, no rattles. The ends are already padded. I have placed some things on the rack and used bungee straps to hold them in place. Works fine.

This is a high quality shelf and allows you to store a lot more gear in the Jeep. I leave some recovery gear on the self and strap it down with my own bungees and ratchet straps. Installation can be tricky if you are doing it solo like I did. Get everything in place and leave nuts/bolts loose until the end. Use whatever you have laying around so that you can prop up the shelf while you work on one side. I used a combination of a crate and a heavy duty cardboard box to hold the shelf off while I aligned everything in place. Personally, I used my own torx and hex bits with a power tool on the low torque setting to install. Made it go by a lot quicker. Still give yourself about 30-45 minutes to install. Once you tighten everything up, it is extremely stable, no rattles and I can tell it's high quality. Being carbon steel, will see if it ever rusts but don't expect it with this being inside.

This shelf has been a much needed add to my Jeep. Now I don’t have loose items rolling around in the back. I’d like to keep it that way of course and not just add more items. The two legs each attach using two of the bolts for the hard top. Once the legs are installed I was able to slide the shelf (fairly heavy) onto the legs. Then I attached the four provided bolts and nuts to attach the legs to the shelf. The project took about 30 minutes. First photo from the back looking in. I really love this rack as it is very well built, sturdy and perfectly fitting my Wrangler. It is a game changer in the way you can use the trunk area. Really recommended!
