Best cheap egg poacher on Amazon.
Ok, so if you're reading these reviews, you're probably trying to decide whether to buy this 4 egg poacher or the aluminium coated one that costs a couple of quid more. I've bought both (I'll be adding a review of the other one too which you'll be able to see is for a verified purchase as proof) and, in my opinion, this one is a better poacher. We bought this one first. My wife loves poached eggs but we never really did them at home as without an egg poacher it becomes a messy affair. I figured at £10, this poacher was worth a shot. It was an instant hit. It's very lightweight but the pieces go together well. It cooks eggs well, not too fast and was easy to clean. The plastic handles on the poaching cups are easy to pick up when cooking is done as they don't get too hot. Tip for any egg poacher by the way: Buy some cans of spray oil. They're sold on Amazon too and are awesome. Do a quick spray in each cup of your egg poacher and your eggs will come out far easier. We now have a higher end poacher and it still makes a real difference. Non stick only does so much. Now the only downside with this poacher is that if you forget to put water in, or leave it too long unattended, the cups will melt and it's a write off. If you use it correctly, this won't ever be an issue though and is worth the 'risk' as the eggs are cooked much better in this one than the other one. My wife didn't put enough water in and let it sit on the hob while waiting for bacon to cook which ended up causing it to self destruct. We then purchased the other one, which just isn't as good despite being made from metal and costing more. The other one is poorly built, doesn't fit together well, the screws holding the handles on the cups come undone, the handles themselves get very hot and it cooks eggs too fast. It was very hard to get good eggs with a runny centre done with it. How to best use this poacher: 1) Boil kettle. 2) Spray each cup with oil. 3) Put eggs in. 4) Carefully lift one cup out and through the hole, pour in enough boiling water that it just touches the bottom of the other egg cups. 5) Put the cup you're holding back in, put the lid on and light the hob. We used the smallest burner on our hob at max power but your mileage may vary. 6) Cook to preference. We used this poacher at least twice a week for seven months before we killed it. We then bought the metal one and used that for a month and a half before retiring it and have now bought the big more expensive six egg poacher as we love our poached eggs and wanted to try a quantity cooker! I hope this helps!

yesbut
does the job and is also a versatile pan but eggs stick to the cups have tried 1- nothing 2- oil 3-butter 4-water but still can get a clean "come away" for the eggs also cups are medium-sized and large eggs don't fit ( not to mention duck or goose eggs) overall a fairly good product although eggs stick cups can be cleaned easily the cup rack needs manual cleaning, not dishwasher clean, base/water pan good but not sturdy could be used (with care ) as a saute pan

uova sode perfette!!

Also ausprobieren.
