Car: VW Polo S 2003 - Very bright headlights that produce a whiter, more pleasant coverage of light and perfect as replacements!
These were replacements for my yellow H7's headlights.I PICKED THESE OVER THE PHILIPS X-tremeVision HEADLIGHTS.♣ Unboxing ♣The OSRAM nightbreakers came in a box that had two halves. A very secure box indeed and a premium packet. You pull off the wrapper and unclip the two halves but be careful as the lights may drop.♣ Build Quality & Fitting ♣Felt just like H7 lightbulbs should and had a blue banding around the top and bottom of the bulb.Fitting these bulbs were straight forward, unscrew your previous bulbs by turning them in a direction until loosened.Pull out the bulb from the METAL part and not the glass.Pull out the wires from the previous bulb.Plug the wires into the OSRAM bulbs.Fit in the OSRAM bulbs to your headlights. It's easy but be careful and fit them securely making sure they're straight. You can FAIL your MOT if the beams are not aligned in the correct direction.♣ Functionality ♣These lights are incomparable to my lights I previously had. The yellowish tint I had previously is now replaced by a bright but soothing white light. They did not bring up errors on my dash and worked excellently in night conditions. It covers a wide area of light on the road and I can see a lot more ahead of me.♣ Overall ♣If you're looking to replace blown out or dim headlight bulbs, you should DEFINITELY go for these. The value is great for the quality of headlights you receive, OSRAM have excellent products.

Great clean white light replacement for yellow headlights
Whilst other reviews on forums and websites say that these bulbs don't last / don't work, I decided to go for them anyway. At just over £10 for a set I thought if they last 6 months I'll be happy.Fitting really depends on your car. Most modern cars will have a access flap in the wheel arch to get to side lights and low beam, its great but is dirty and fiddly as you can't see what you're doing. I usually just remove the whole light cluster. Anyway, thats the fault of car manufacturers not the bulb!Once fitted (remembering not to touch the glass with your skin - i used latex gloves) the bulbs give off a strong white light which still looks oem. They are nothing like the aftermarket HID kits which you can buy, but obviously these are legal and a straight swap where HID kits need a little more work to get them legal and cost more.So far these bulbs have performed well and clocked up a fair few hours. My car has auto lights etc so they run near constantly this time of year on the murky morning commutes etc.For the money, I'd be happy if these lasted for 6 months but I have a feeling that they'll last more than that.

Hmmm, better but by how much?
I bought these with a pair of H1 bulbs for my SEAT Altea's main and dipped beams. The original set up was awful and I do a lot of unlit country road driving as part of my commute to and from work. I'd looked into what upgraded bulbs were best and the Osram Night Breakers seemed to be the universal victors in numerous tests.I fitted them and they give a much whiter light than "standard" bulbs and the throw might be a bit further. What is noticeable is the patchy dark and light areas at the fringes of the beam. This might be a reflector thing that the old bulbs didn't highlight, but it's something that is very obvious now. With dipped and main on together, things are much brighter than before; those pesky pedestrians and cyclists that wear black while using the dark lanes at night are more easily spotted.A word of warning though. All the sales pitches for these state that they are far better at this and that. What isn't highlighted is that this extra performance comes at the much reduced longevity of the bulbs. "The light that burns twice as bright lasts half as long".A good replacement for ordinary bulbs.

Love These Bulbs
I bought these for my previous car and I didn't realize how poor the reach on the headlights were until I changed them. Not due to a fault, I was travelling two and a half hours to get to my work weekly and I couldn't see well on the dual carriageways in the dark. These lit up the road and immediately I noticed a difference and I didn't seem to be blinding anyone in the process (people are quick to let you know...).I sold the car and took on another to drive when the owner left the country for a time and I upgraded the bulbs. Whilst there wasn't as much difference in the headlight range as there had been in my last car, the light is more white and visibility is certainly better. I'd recommend these if you do drive at night and want to see a bit better. I find it far better over the long distances. They aren't supposed to last as long as normal bulbs, but this is a risk I'll take and I didn't have one fail in the two years I had them on my old car. (Then again, the bulbs I replaced were 8 years old and hadn't blown yet, so perhaps I had a good electrical system!)
