New Direction Tackle Carp Fishing Bluetooth Bite Alarm 2+1 Set For Smartphone

Needing a new set of alarms, I was initially going with the mainstream and looking at picking up a set of Delks. However I ended up seeing a video of these New Direction alarms and really liked what I saw. Feature rich, well designed and a price that is too good to be true if they do what they claimed.They do look very blingy and tackle tarty in pictures but this isn't the case in real life. On the bankside with rods sat on them, they look amazing and the features are very useful - these have been designed by anglers and know exactly what we need and what we don't need.The drop back features, the ability to mute the alarm for 30 seconds whilst you set up, the ability to see how much line is being taken out on a take and the fact you can control every aspect of the alarms from the receiver are just some of the features I immediately found useful on my first session using them.The alarms (I bought the 2 +1 set) come in a really sturdy case, with precut foam inserts for two more alarms, should you wish to purchase two more seperate. There are also inserts for batteries.The alarms use two batteries each, which if you're buying ND Brand batteries could be pricey however they seem to last a long time and the receiver shows the battery life for each alarm so you can monitor exactly when you need to change them. Plus if you want you can head over to a well know auction site and buy batteries and a much lower price.After using these now for a few sessions I am raving about them to every carp angler I know. All I will say is look past the images and really see the features packed into them. Then look at the bargain price you will get this set and these features for. You really will not be disappointed.ADDENDUM MAY 2017 - After using these alarms (including a 3rd alarm I bought seperately the ND branded batteries are still going strong after 8 months of use. Including a full week in France where they were on 24 hours a day. Each alarm and receiver is still showing full charge from the original batteries. Amazing quality.

Crap quality

I have been using the K9 bite alarms and receivers for a few months now and I have been been stunned by the performance and reliability. They haven't put a foot wrong and have helped in the capture of many specimens in all conditions no matter how much abuse I throw their way. The sensitivity is as good as any other mag roller I have used, the wheels spin free and easy and have plenty of traction on the line so if the line moves you're going to know about it. Build quality is up there with the best of them, mine have been left out in the driving rain for days and even taken the occasional dunking and there is no evidence of water ingress, everything works and there is no LED fogging or corrosion on the batteries or terminals, just faultless service.I recently had a minor issue where one of the dials came adrift if the alarms while packing away in the dark and I couldn't find it but after a quick message to the New Direction facebook page they offered to send me out some replacements free of charge so I must applaud their customer service, rest assured that if you spend your hard earned cash on one of their products you will be looked after. If you are concerned that this may be an issue then my advise is to carefully apply a little bit of super glue to the locating pegs on the dials to ensure they can't fall off.

great alarms at a great price,only one negative point is if snag ears are on you cant use alarm cover.

Had a month, used twice and the sensitivity button has gone on 1 of the alarms, any chance of a replacement part?? Surly that isn't normal for these alarms!

Yesterday I was testing for the first time the set I bought recently in Rio Tormes in Spain , the range of the receiver is very good compared to other brands.Note : When you first installing the alarms you should immediately activate the remote control mode, because if you need this function later on you don’t have to go near the alarms to active it.The river had too much current and the alarms kept ringing, but with the remote control mode was only adjust the sensitivity of the alarms without even having to get up , very good.Amazing set for a good price would highly recommend.

After many months of waiting and reading good reviews, I finally brought myself a pair with the receiver. I can now say they are the best bite alarms I have ever owned. Outstanding performance with their unique look and features at a reasonable price. A must have in your fishing armoury!

Had alarms for about six months, initially bought the 2+1 set, bought another alarm to enable me three rods out.Had an issue with the vibrate function on receiver box.Emailed ND and was asked to provide a video, I did so and I was asked to send to address in Rotherham.Sent it back and soon had a replacement sent out, which I missed today so picking it up from post office tomorrow.All in all I must say a very good product with good after sales care, although no telephone number, everything done via email.Overall very happy, just waiting for the new bite indicators to compliment my alarms.

Zwei tage nach Bestellung ist der Bissanzeiger angekommen und ich muss sagen er hält was er verspricht. Er ist nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein, sieht gut aus und funktioniert gut. Besonders toll finde ich das man den Bissanzeiger mit dem Handy verbinden kann und so alle Einstellungen noch leichter erledigen kann.Einfach ein toller Bissanzeiger.

Sehr gelungener Bissanzeiger der alles hält was er verspricht. Das Set fühlt sich sehr wertig an. Die Funkübertragung ist herausragend. Einige Hersteller können sich eine dicke Scheibe von abschneiden.

Hallo, die Bissanzeiger sind an sich sehr gut. Haben ein stellrad um die Feinheit stufenweise einzustellen. Achtung hier: Sensibilität ist nicht stufenlos einstellbar. Außerdem hatte ich übersehen, dass keine 9v oder Standard Batterien verwendet werden. Die Batterien hierzu sind eher teuer und hat natrlich nicht jeder zuhause. Ansonsten ein guter Bissanzeiger.

Super schnelle Lieferung. Der Koffer mit den K9 und R9 kommt sehr qualitativ und robust rüber. War schon ein paar mal mit meinem Set am Wasser und konnte sie erfolgreich testen. Die Übertragung zum Receiver ist wirklich 1:1. Kann New Direction wirklich nur weiter empfehlen. Immer wieder gerne.

Tolles Bissanzeigerset, leichtes Handling sehr gute Beschreibung und wirklich immer hörbar, man verpasst keinen Biss da es mit dem Smartphone gekoppelt ist,
