Be confident that with this, Google Maps and Translator and a preloaded Suica card on your phone, you will be able to explore this amazing city with ease. We spent ten days in Tokyo and used this travel guide more than the other two we bought.

We used this book extensively planning our trip in Japan. The way the book breaks up the neighborhood is very helpful when planning agenda for the day. Highly recommend for anyone going to Tokyo.

This is a good guide to review if you are traveling to Toykyo and we visited many of the places highlighted including some of the restaurants, which are out of date and are rather suspect with respect to their recommendations... we tried three of the restaurants highlighted and only one of them was one we would return to, so you might want to consult a different resource for restaurant recommendations. What WAS good was the major places to visit, which had pretty good instructions on what to see and do, and provided some insights that proved valuable. So this is a good investment for your trip, but I would not consider it to be the do-all / end-all resource for your Japanese adventures...

Item arrived on time in condition as advertised. This is a great overview of Tokyo. If you want a quick reference of what to see with limited time this is a great place to start. Excellence references and useful travel information, I especially liked the subway map and suggested itineraries. Get out and explore! Ganbatte kudasai!

The best travel guide books for any city or get the country ones.If you're going to be in several areas. I have used them all over the world. And don't leave home without them.

I haven't been to Japan since before the pandemic, I use to travel for a living and always use the DK witness books and they are my favorite travel book series, pics, quick hits, maps, easy access index and especially the top 10 lists. It's also nice to have something tangible and easy access from my back-pack as a reference instead of scrolling though 1000s of posts online, depending on a wifi or cell signal and eating up your phone battery. I have the 2016 publication but thought I would buy the new one for this year as there may have been some changes after the pandemic. But almost page for page it was the same exact information, there are some differences in the pics between chapters, a couple of restaurants have closed but otherwise not worth it to purchase the new version. Save some money and buy the pervious version. The rest of the differences you can find on trip advisor or multiple online sources.

Excellent guidebook, nice small size is easy to pack and light to carry on day trips.

Whenever I travel, this is the first guide book, I look for. Used the brand, in New York, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore. Bought the Tokyo one for a trip end of March. Good size, great information and the laminated map is a bonus. Won't find a better product.

This up to date guide book was perfect for our recent needs with a very clear maps showing the centre of Tokyo and the subway system. Cannot fault it.

The book was sticky, and definitely looks used with dirt on the cover and on top of many pages.
