I believe it to be wholly ginger. I just checked the ingredients on the back of the box. I must say that this ginger herbal infusion has calmed my stomach problems, and I take a cup after meals which helps my digestion. I leave the bag to steep for 3 - 5 minutes. I recommend this as a pure product which works.

Not directly. Using sweetener, or no sugar will assist though.
