Great idea . Very useful. Just wish they made a 5m one as 8m is to long .You only use a small portion of it. Blade numbers wear out to easy. Extra star if if this is sorted out or sell blades separate MY SECOND ONE NOW WORN OUT ON THE FIRST 500MM NUMBERS HAVE WORN OUT.. STILL WANT A MAX 5M SIZE OR BETTER STILL 3M SIZE . BELT CLIP IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED. I HAVE BEEN A BRICKLAYER OVER 46 YEARS. WE NEED A SHORTER LENGTH TAPE PLEASE.

Good easy to read and reliable

Used tapes for years,excellent for setting out brickwork & for finished blockwork, only fault with them blade rusts on them if constantly getting wet in bad weather,with Matt finish,no protection for wet weather,like normal metric tapes,I'm a bricklayer of 30 years plus,always buy 3 tapes at one time for that reason,always have a cloth in tool box to clean blade

I thought it abit pricy. As never brick laid before and did a diy 1000 brick project. This is a real mate ! Easy to use ! This has a belt hook where the tape detaches from that hook and attaches so easy ! Tape has concrete block and STANDARD brick size markings. Please note handmade bricks might not work well with this tape depending on the style/type course you are laying. This is because handmade bricks could be slightly thinner or less depth than machine cut. So eventually the tape and course go out of sync. The markings include mortar joint of 1cm

To be fair this is a great tape which makes everything so much easier for bricklaying but the quality of this tape is shocking. First day using it pulled it out to the 8M and now it won’t go back in because the Spring broke.

Super helpful for brick building, built a wall around my grill, first time doing brick work and this made it much quicker and easier to ensure my measurements were level.

Im going to say 1 star just because of my own ignorance I wish they had one like this in imperial system. If I was a tape measure company I could see a market for it. So the tape measure is great far as quality. The biggest issue is have is our brick and block in the united states are smaller than that of Europe.
