As good as it can possibly get!
As a professional butcher myself, I am VERY critical over what products I buy. It's the training, honest! I have had to develop a series of recipes for my family as food intolerances and other ailments have been beginning to stack up. As a result I decided to start with sausages and work up from there. I ordered these as a nothing risked, nothing gained kind of thing. Especially after everything I know from my training, you tend to stick to what you know best from the suppliers you know best. However for home manufacturing of sausages, I do not need the quantities that I get at my place of work, so I needed to find someone who could sell quality, but in the quantities that are suitable for home manufacturing, and off the back of all the customer reviews, I decided to give TongMaster a try out, and those reviews don't half live up to expectation! Considering it was on the run up to Christmas when I ordered casings, they did a remarkable job getting them to me so fast! They were in perfect condition when they arrived, and incredibly well packaged. That was a good omen from the moment they came through the door! I put one lot in to soak overnight to ensure tenderness, and when it came to filling them, I was seriously impressed. To compare to the ones I use at work, these were a doddle to stuff. They didn't bind on the nozzle at all, and were perfect for linking. I didn't have any burst on me when linking, or cooking the next day, although I'll admit to being a tad too excited and ended up overstuffing them a little bit, they never burst at all! I've already ordered another batch of casings for breakfast sausages next, and I am confident that they'll be of the same quality as I have already received from this order. So if you want a professionals opinion, these are perfect for your sausages. Simply forget any competition, Tongmaster are all you'll ever need!

half the price half the pleasure
I have made sausage for a while, I'm giving 3 stars as had a few splits, and the handling a full length, evening out the distribution of meat causes break if you're not carefull, (not overfilled) the tape instead of a rod isn't good and doesn't make an easy transfer to a nozzle, although easier than ringed (loose bagged) On cooking (a venison) the skin is tougher/chewer than previous natural casing from wecshenfelder, but they charge £5 postage and 12 for 40M, having to empty previously filled casings due to so many splits and refilling makes a pleasurable job strenuous, but half the price?

Massive Sausage
These work well, taste great and are easy enough to load onto your stuffer - as long as you grease up your nozzle! They make an impressive looking sausage with a right chunky girth!

Tapes not good.
Just to be clear: the casings are fine. HOWEVER, the tapes that they are on mean that as you try and slide them on to the stuffer they get wrapped over themselves and then do not come off nicely at all. I have been stuffing sausages for many years and this was my first try at ones on tapes. In my opinion you are better off buying the loose ones. Yes they take a bit longer to load up but then they are MUCH quicker and easier to stuff.

Sausage Skins
Great, exactly what they should be and because they are on a central core they are easy to use, no trying to find the ends, for those of you who are new to sausage making, there is a lot of casing in this pack but it is excellent value for money and they keep in the fridge or freezer fine. What more can I say,

Good quality. Easy to use off the tape. Taste is neutral.

Not a bad casings
These casing were very good, I cut them into 1 yard lengths and then rolled them up into a ball, I put the balls into the cups on an ice-cube tray and filled them with water then froze them. Now all I have to do when I decide to make fresh sausages is take an ice cube out of the freezer and let it defrost. Brill idea. lol

Great product and Service
I ordered the casings at the same time as buying a machine from Amazon. The product was as described and arrived on time to Spain. After my first attempt and the sausages splitting I contacted the supplier for any advice. They emailed my straight away with some hints and directed me to their very useful site. The second batch of sausages were some of the best I have ever tasted!
