Hard to find these days
Its simply addition for Star Wars Armada to have more ship rulers. Have only 4 speed ruler is kinda bad because you can not always fit the whole ruler in some spot so its good to have only two speed ruler or just one speed ruler.

Handy to have an extra
It is the exact same tool that comes up with the base set. I picked up this up as an extra, as I damaged one of the clickers on mine a bit and wanted a back up. But it turns out that having two of these just really helps move the game along instead of constantly passing along one.An important note: The cardboard distance labels are hidden in the very top of the casing, under the Armada label. If you're opening it with scissors and doing a horizontal cut at the top, stay above the Star Wars Armada logo.
