Way Not to End a Game
For the most part, I really enjoyed playing this game. The whole concept is brilliantly and imaginatively handled, with excellent graphics and retro-futuristic design. The actual gameplay is, again for the most part, very satisfying (who doesn't love shooting Nazis?).But its the black humour that sets the game above most of its FPS brethren. Mainly exhibited in the marvellously mo-capped cut scenes (though also in some of the voice overs ("An axe. Lot of things you can do with an axe. And a Nazi."), and some of the actual gameplay (early sequences are conducted from a wheelchair, which has got to be fairly novel in video gaming!)), there was more than one instance of snorting hilarity on my part at the utter irreverence of the writers - Deadpool-level in many instances. The scene with the frail and quite mad Hitler interviewing actors for the new film he was making -yes, Hitler makes films in this alternate timeline- was almost worth the price of admission on its own.But there are faults, both minor and not-so. Often on first starting to play, the game suffers lighting white-outs for seconds at a time; sometimes there are permanent black-outs that can only be cured by reloading. Both occurrences usually resulted in player death. Enemy AI is also questionable. Often a whole area could be cleared of Nazis simply by staying in the right place and letting the enemies come to you - a shame, as further exploration usually revealed the impressive battlefield where combat was supposed to take place... now devoid of targets. Worst of all, though, is the game's ending. Now Wolfenstein: The New Order sported a proper ending, with three difficult bosses to conquer. The New Colossus doesn't even have one. In fact, I didn't even know I was at the games end until the bloody credits started to roll! Very disappointing after everything that went before.A satisfying conclusion would have me rate this game Pretty Much Excellent. As it stands, it remains Very Good Indeed (and a must if you enjoyed The New Order).

Kick Hitler in the face
You'll enjoy if you're a fan of the first game, the gameplay is pretty much identical with some graphical improvements and a streamlined perk system. Many have complained about the amount of cut-scenes so something to bare in mind, if you prefer action over story. I've also seen accusations the game pushes an overtly left-wing agenda but I think this has been exaggerated for the most part. The only downsides are a lack of boss fights (something that made the original so fun) and an anti-climatic ending.

Very disappointing and way too challenging
Not a fan at all. WAY too challenging in some parts where the utterly useless unstable guns versus enemies with virtually unlimited sight lines and accuracy makes for near impossible stages without reducing the difficulty level to easy. I say this as a veteran FPS gamer who usually completes campaigns on the hardest difficulty setting. The graphics are very good but there is nothing new here. Ridiculous story line and a pretty standard FPS experience otherwise.
