De'Longhi AC230 Air Purifier - White & Grey [Energy Class A]

I recommend this product as it cleans the air in a short time...Very efficient,light and silent.

Summer is full of dread in my house hold due to a Mrs who gets hay fever terribly and myself who gets it moderately. We also have two huskies malting so I can imagine that our house has it's fair share of allergens and dust in the air.I was hesitant buying this mostly due to its price however I decided to just go for it in the end.So what's in the box?Well you get the unit itself, a silver filter, a charcoal filter and the all important hepa filter along with a mesh filter to help catch bigger particles before it reaches the hepa filter. It also has a UV filter to help kill off any other bacteria.Does it work?In short yes it does. It has made an improvement to our hay fever, not entirely eliminating it but still an improvement. It has also made the air feel better in the house, whilst this sounds weird it takes the dust out of the air so it will also help those with breathing problems.I recently cleaned the filters after having it for around 4 months and honestly the dust caught in the mesh filter was alarming! This has all been prevented from entering our lungs which can only be a good thing.I would also recommend checking out YouTube as there's some pretty informative reviews in there.Now we are leaving summer I will leave it running on low just to keep filtering our air.This unit features 3 fan speeds which can when set to auto automatically speed up or down depending on the air quality. It also features lights to show you the status of the air around you and it also offers ionisation although I have turned that off. It is loud on top speed so if you were using it over night I would manually set it to low. It also features a 1/2/4/8 hour timer.Overall it is expensive but I felt it was worth it especially when I have seen the amount of dirt/dust it has taken out of the air!!

UPDATE : I'm not having any allergies,somethimes runny nose at the start of the summer . It does clean air from dirt and not really noisy . BUT when it comes to cleaning air from smells this air purifier has zero points !!! Even I think that it stores all smells inside the box I'm really really clean person I vaacum and clean carpets all the surfaces and I leave wondow open even for one hour with purifier on full setting and when I close the window leave it on come back and there is smell of dump in my room again !! Those HEPA filters comes with this machine are rubbish plus that light inside doesn't do a thing ! And ioniser is useless ! Only traps dust on the machine . No no no overpriced and plus filters are not stocked all the time ......

Very good. Bought this product for my dad who has COPD & was struggling to breath. He does smoke and spends most of his day in the one room due to being breathless. Since putting it on for him he is finding it a lot easier to breath and does not cough anywhere near as much. His quality of life has improved ten fold & actually is getting up and about doing jobs round the house like before. The product changes colour when the air quality gets poor, this has helped my dad reduce the amount he smokes as it puts him off. Great product!!

This died after 3 months I had to drop it off at a center and it took them over a month to get me a new one when you have allergies and got rid of the old machine thats an awful wait. The hepa filter works for pollen when its on full but seems to do nothing on the lower settings.both machines had there own unique intermittent rattle that really shouldn't be there.They use very little activated carbon in the filters when you first change the filter it removes odours but it doesn't last long its really just there for marketing like the other technologies, theres another brand that uses about a kg the carbon. The filters are often out of stock on amazon can be hard to get as a result and are expensive, the light that warns you to change the filter is far too keen to do so. The sensor that's supposed to sample air and control the fan speed is useless.

Judging by the reviews some seem to receive excellent models and other are not working.I took the plunge and purchased one as was desperate as my old different air purifier no longer worked.Sad to say this did not do anything to clear the air or to help with my multi allergy's. Having left it to run constantly for a few months to try it out I kept inspecting the filter but there wasn't any dust collecting on it and it wasn't because my home is dust free as my old purifier would have collected a lot of dust by now.there was the odd few cat hairs but that was it ..Amazon as always were excellent with their customer service to me and accepted a no quibble return and sorted me with a full refund

I have noticed an improvement in my allergy symptoms, although we are getting to the end of the hayfever season. Will have to wait until next Feb to see if it was the air purifier or just the time of year that caused the improvement. It's reasonably quiet but quite bright to have on at night even with the main light turned off. Would I recommend it, if buying it isn't going to cause you financial hardship, and like me you don't have much luck with allergy medication, it's worth a try.

I have Asthma and other lung issues with allergies. This is the best machine I have ever used. The five levels of filtration clear my room very quickly and effectively. Never had it so good. Runs all night and makes the room very fresh in the morning even with all the heat. Fantastic. Ioniser does not interfere with me at all unlike others who have commented. Would recommend to any allergies suffers or like me with Asthma. Like everything though all things do not suit all people. If in doubt check first.
