Vittles Vault Gamma Seal Lid, Yellow, Fits 3.5 to 7 Gallon Buckets

These lids are the best idea to come along for storing anything in a 5 gallon bucket! They fit tight, are very strong, seal extremely well and are so very easy to use. We use all our old 5 gallon buckets now with these replacement lids, one for bird seed, another for pet food, another for fertilizer for our vegetable garden and so on... absolutely no leaks or dampness gets in and they are very strong. I like that you can get them in different colors so you can color code what is in which bucket. They look great too!

I use 5-gallon buckets to store beans, flour, sugar, etc. Using these lids makes it so much easier to get into your buckets. Once you put the gamma lid on, you can simply unscrew the top anytime you need to get into your bucket. It's a tight seal & keep bugs out. I purchased one of these lids, from this same company, about a year ago for my dry bean bucket. I use that bucket frequently, so the lid gets quite a bit of use and shows no signs of wear/tear. Because that one has stood up so well, I came back to get another. I like that they come in different colors, making it easy to quickly tell which bucket holds which ingredient. I noticed a few reviewers stating that they found it difficult to put the outer rim onto their bucket. This is the 2nd one I have purchased from this company & have had no such problem. It takes some force, but that's what keeps it solidly in place and airtight. If you find it difficult, put the rim on your bucket, then turn your bucket upside down and press down.

I've bought several of these over the years because I just keep finding more uses for them! The first one was for cleaning up after my dog, so I could just keep the waste sealed and every week throw out one big bag instead of wasting a few a week. The second I got was to store dried 3D printer filament. When I dry it I'll keep it in the bucket with some dessicant until I'm ready to use it and it does a great job keeping out moisture. My third was for salting my driveway in the winter. Keeping the bag in my garage would result in a large hard block of salt. This keeps it loose and dry. My brother keeps dog food fresh in one of these, there are so many great uses for them.

I thought installation would be pretty straight forward, but after attempting to add this lid to three different 5 gal. buckets, I actually had to call customer service. The trick is to unscrew the top first. Sit down in a chair with the bucket secured between your feet. Push down hard on one section of the ring until it clicks into place. Then work your way around in a circle, pressing each section down until the entire ring is secure. Finally, screw the lid back on. I installed one lid myself. Then I had to get my husband's help with the second because my hands were so sore. So, the lids are on. I'm not sure if they'll ever come off. We have two Gamma Vittles Vault containers for dog food. These lids are a more budget friendly way to store horse feed. Customer service was friendly and helpful when I needed assistance. Although they are not easy to install, they work as advertised once they're on.

I love everything about these... they are "Food Grade" 90 mils strong... Then combine them with the FANTASTIC very well made Hudson Exchange 5 Gallon Buckets with their Bottom Grip Handle and HDPE. It makes it a snap to dump out 5 gallons of car wash material. Then I also added Grit Guards & the Grit Guard Washboards even with the indentation of the bottom handle intruding into the bottom inside of these buckets. But anyway... the Grit Guards hover a lil' bit further above the bottom. Which I personally like how they hover a lil' further above the bottom!!! Plus, the Gamma2 Seal Lids fit like a glove (which the Gamma 2's take some good hand strength to install but it's worth it to keep dust out of the buckets between washes). So now I have basically made "custom" color coordinated buckets for my own personal auto detailing... and we will be buying more of these for my wife... along with the sold separately Snappy Grip handles that I also installed. Well I hope this might perhaps be helpful to others out there! 😇

Worked great as an add to a 5 gallon bucket that I now am using for dog food. Seals nicely and is easy to open and close… turns any bucket into a sealed container…
