Made the hubby redundant for sharpening knives. All you do is stick the suction cup bottom to a smooth surface like a hob top, then pull the knife through the gap as indicated on the top of the device. Dull knives really are more dangerous! A few passes and tadah, a sharp knife that floats down through tomato skin, severs the chicken and not my hands, makes a squash feel like sponge, and laughs in the face of frozen meats. Very pleased, now competant knife sharpener here.

I absolutely love that sharpener! I know, I know, some people are horrified, as it might damage and ruin your expensive knives. Well, my knives are not that precious and I figured that if the worst happens, I will buy a new set in a year or so. I have had the sharpener for over a year now and it saves me, my fingers (have you tried to cut soft bread with a blunt knife?), my food, my time, my husband (from being responsible for sharpening before) and most of all, my good mood in the kitchen! Since then I bought it for my mother. After a couple of months she said that she did not know how she lived before. So, I guess, if you are not overly protective of your knives, just go for it.

Bought this after seeing so many reviews online and I can't fault it. Sharpened all of my knives in a a matter of minutes and then went looking for more things to sharpen.Love the fact it has a suction bottom to it so you can fix it to the surface while using it and it doesn't slide around. This means less chance of slicing off a finger which you might want to keep.Worked on all of the knives I have in the kitchen and I am so convinced it's so good I reckon it could sharpen a spoon.If you have any doubts on how good this product is then watch the video of how it works.

Quick delivery of a superb sharpener. So versatile that I can sharpen virtually any size knife. I even got a great edge on an old, ancient machete. Well worthy of the 'World's Best Sharpener' logo. Highly recommended.

Arrived quickly and boxed well. Good, clear instructions on how to use. It is a really small, neat and compact sharpener. Suction cup attaches well and firmly to appropriate surface, in my case ceramic tiles. As per other reviews, yes there is waste material from the knives and depending on the quality of metal and how dull they are there will be more or less waste material. If you have very expensive knives, i would imagine you would have a more expensive sharpener or method of sharpening. For me, personally, this sharpener is ideal for my knives, some economical and some more expensive, none of professional kitchen standard but not too cheap either. Great little product. Paid full price, not subsidised for a favourable review.

I had seen the videos and read the reviews and it is nothing like it appears in the promos. I don't think there is a product that I have purchased which has been so badly different to the adverts for it. It is utterly useless.I tried several knives and none became sharp. I tired several times for different knives and the video says a couple of times is usually enough but if the knife is blunt do it several more times, but after several minutes none of the knives got sharp at all! In fact one of knives was medium sharp before and now is worse.The design is terrible as well. It doesn't stick to any surface except something like glass smoothness and even then it moves after a few times of pulling a knife through it. Another problem is the handle you have to lower to try and secure it to the surface you are using; the handle has an indentation for your thumb to pull it down, but your thumb will touch the two metal parts as you pull it down, which can scratch your finger.It is also too lightweight and looks much more sturdy than it is in the photos. Very cheap plastic.

I bought this to sharpen my pocket knife that I had purchased and I have been over the moon with this product!It sharpens my knife very well and family members have borrowed it to sharpen their knives and they have been very pleased with the results aswell!The simple design makes it very easy to use and once it is stuck to the surface it is not budging!A must buy! Since I purchased before I was satisfied with the last order. I purchased another because my associates and colleagues when they see how good it is they want it and as they are abroad and never return to the UK I give them mine. Any problems with this unit within the next 12 months and I will let you know otherwise Package and delivery 100%.. WELL 16 months have passed and unfortunately the rubber suction section had com[lately broken off the unit. So very upset that the product did not last longer than 16 months. See photo attached where the plastic has snapped off the main unit.
