No broken bottles :-)
The media could not be loaded. We purchased two of these complete sets in red, and had them shipped to our destination. From there we loaded them up with two cases of wine (one case per bag), and returned home. They have survived their first flight, including a plane transfer (LGA -> IAH -> CRP) with no tears nor scratches, and all bottles intact. Worked great for regular wine bottles + sparkling wine. Our bags weighed in at ~42 pounds (~19kg) each, which is below the 50# weight limit of most checked luggage. In depth analysis (read here, or watch video):The bag: essentially you are buying a "bag" with carrying handles, wheels, and pull strap to go around a case of wine. The bag is a tough (similar to backpack) outer material with a squishy-padding (similar to lap-top sleeve). The handles on the outside are heavy duty, and positioned well. The pull strap attaches near the bottom of the case, and can be removed - I highly recommend doing this before turning your suitcase over at the counter. There is a pocket on the top of suitcase to store it, or you can just hold onto it (It seems like something that would easily snag on a conveyer belt). The zipper is great. The outer bag has no hidden 'skeleton,' and does collapse down when the shipper case is not inside it (the shipper case serves as the structure). Since we had these shipped to our destination, we did not experiment with them going inside luggage, however considering the new carry-on regulations, they would have to go inside a checked bag. (Note: the wine shipper will NOT collapse down)Inner case: the case that comes with this complete set is a cardboard box with a styrofoam wine shipper inside. The styrofoam does a good job of securing the wine bottles (see video), and no extra padding was needed for our wine. The bottles stand upright in the shipper, and fit a variety of sizes from large sparkling (think champagne) to regular bottles. The shipper held up great, and there are no signs of cracking or dents. Note: If you purchase just the bag, it will fit standard wine shippers, although there may be extra room between the outer bag and inner case, although you could easily add some padding into the space (see video).Roll-ability: I read several reviews that mentioned how "challenging" this was, and here's my 2 cents: The wheels are sturdy, and roll nicely. The "handle" to pull the luggage is a simple fabric strap with a handgrip. The strap can be shortened or lengthened to adjust to the height of the person pulling it. I'm 5'3", my husband is 5'9", and we had no trouble in terms of having the same handle length (It is not a standard telescoping handle. My understanding is this was done to cut back on weight). You will get a serious arm workout while pulling this suitcase, as it is not designed as a standard roller-board (standard roller-boards are hinged downward to roll). This suitcase needs to be lifted to roll - considering it weighs 40+ pounds... things get heavy pretty quickly. But on the other hand, you are Rolling an entire case of wine - which is much easier than having to carry it. I will also say that we only pulled the luggage from the car to the counter, then from the carousel to the car. Even though we also had our standard suitcases in tow, we were still able to manage the luggage, and seemed to do so with ease. So in terms of the short distance we had to roll the luggage, it was very doable. If we had to walk a long distance, or if we were constantly getting in & out of it, I'd probably start looking for something of a different set-up.Cons: We now have two giant boxes to store. Yes the red outer case collapses, but the styrofoam does not. And since the styrofoam is designed to hold wine, we can't really use it to store other items. This is going to pose a challenge when we want to take them on our next trip, as we will have to check them to get to our destination. Although a way around this is to leave the styrofoam at home, and acquire a wine shipper when purchasing the wine on vacation.TSA: I must be on some national list somewhere, as they ALWAYS go through my things. This time was no exception, as a notice was found inside each suitcase. My suggestions: do not lock the suitcase, and do not tape the box nor styrofoam. If they cannot easily access it, they will cut/tear it. I didn't have any wine stolen, and I also didn't have any TSA related damage to my suitcase. All things considered: it worked well for getting our wine from NY to South Texas with no broken bottles - the ultimate selling point. The 2nd checked bag was cheaper than shipping the wine back, esp. in those instances where you don't want to purchase the entire case at one winery. We love that you can fit an entire case of wine in each bag - comparable wine suitcases go for close to $300, considering this one is only $90, and protects the wine, we are very happy with our new suitcases, and highly recommend them for wine travel.

Great solution to a traveling wine enthusiast's dilemma
I just came back to the US from France with my goodies stored in this. Here was my experience.- All bottles survived, completely intact.- It fit Champagne bottles fine.- It came in under weight.- The red bag sure got dirty pretty quickly, but who cares?- Customs will absolutely stop you with this, since it's such a unique sized piece of luggage. One thought it was an animal carrier. They never asked me to open it once I told them what it was. They thought it was a cool idea. I have to agree :)I'm deducting a single star since I cannot deduct 1/2. But I'd consider this a 4.5 star purchase. My only 2 negative comments are:- The strap is not conducive to navigating a fully loaded case around a crowded train platform/crowded airport. A longer strap, or maybe caster wheels would help.- The shape was problematic with finding a cab in Europe. Not much that can be done about that, because it *is* the shape of a case of wine. But with regular luggage, it just didn't fit into the hatch of smaller European cars.

Great for Traveling
We purchased this product while in San Francisco on a wine tour to get our bottles of wine home safely. We bring it with us on the airplane and check it like it's a piece of luggage. This product guarantees the weight will NEVER go over 50 lbs when filled with 12 bottles. The Styrofoam insert fits perfectly and protects every bottle of wine from breaking. We were so happy with this product, we purchased one for our son and one for our daughter. This product is outstanding!

Awesome, well packed
Awesome, well packed, fast delivery, all good. The outside might not be so durable, but the case is super protective, I didn't have any problem with it totally full of bottles. Might not be so easy to handle if you are carrying another bag, because the handle is a strap only. Would recommend anyway, good value for the price.

Very large and bulky
This item is VERY big. If you intend to break it down to travel, it will take up A LOT of space in your suitcase. The styrofoam insert is also very big and bulky. Be fore warned. You will forego your $18 shipping charge if you return it.

Good Way to Transport Wine!
These are a great way to get wine, liquor and any thing else that comes in similar bottles from one place to another via air travel. So far we've used this on two overseas trips and they have performed as advertised. They didn't get a five because they are a bit clumsy to handle and roll along. We purchased two cases and used both each trip. We could fit them in the trunk of a not so big vehicle with the rest of our luggage. We filled both with mostly wine but some liquor and freshly pressed high quality olive oil. All of our goods came out in perfect shape both times. Recommended!

Great wine travel
This is a great item for wine travel weather by air or by car/train. Even fully loaded with 12 bottles, it's easy to lift and move around. my only added feature would be to lengthen the straps so that i could pull without being slightly bent over. The wheels work great, especially in a fast-paced airport venue. Would buy again - also LOVE the Red/obvious indicator to treat gently.
