It desolves in gasoline . Makes a big mess .Do not make a gasket that is exposed to gasoline .

Why did you pick this product vs others?:While the product seems fine, the religious proselytizing included in the package was most unwelcome.

It's a good product depending on what you're using it for
Exactly what we needed to make grips for our large, glass shower door hinges. The huge shower door kept sliding sideways as the old grips were old and desiccated. My son cut out the hinge shapes that were needed and the neoprene is holding my hinges tight and my shower door no longer slips.
