Replaced smeg plastic one. Much better.
I've managed to fudge it by replacing the useless plastic one that came with my built in smeg coffee machine. It's a tad loose so I need to do something crafty to secure it.However, it is a massive improvement. Really great frothewr.Nice, cheap and works.Thumbs up from me.

amazing modification
For anyone wishing to modify their delonghi steaming wand - this is an amazing piece. Does a great job for its price and turned out to even speed up the steaming process. The tip was a little hard to unscrew when taking the nut off, so make sure you have a key. You do need to take apart your coffee machine to install it, but there’s a youtube video by Tom’s Coffee Corner where he puts it in and explains the process along the way which was turned out to be very helpful. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and the results

Bought as replacement for a DeLonghi 31.21 wand
Bought this as a replacement for the poor plastic delonghi foamer. It's quite a powerful improvement! At first it's a bit of a learning curve, but 6/7 coffees later and you'll have picked up the knack of foaming those cappuccino milks to perfection. If I could find a way to improve the amount of steam the machine outputs, it'd be even better. The assembly is the trickiest bit. Pushing the plastic socket part around the metal bends is tricky, so I'd recommend some rubber/electrical gloves to make it easier. Once it's on, not too tricky to complete the rest - check youtube for videos.I did have the rubber steam hose pop-off the top of the wand, so a stronger clip or potentially a drop of super-glue might be wise before sealing the machine shut. I'd be interested to see how others have remedied this. Will update in a few months to see how it's going.

Does the job nicely
I bought three of these to replace the standard wands on different DeLonghi models. I initially bought a cheap one from that auction site and very quickly realised that in this case you do get what you pay for. The cheap one was a nightmare to clean between uses, there are no similar issues with these. Fitting to a Delonghi EC685 wasn't easy but with the help of you tube I managed it without too much swearing. Fitting to a Magnifica Smart S was much more straight forward. So much easier to froth the milk as I like it.

Good upgrade for Gaggia
This was bought to replace a tired steam wand on a Gaggia baby twin and fitting was even more simple than in the youtube video which gives all the basics - the redundant nut now comes off the new wand without the need to remove the flange. Working slowly and methodically it took less than an hour, including testing and cleaning the machine and shower disc. The new wand takes some getting used to and practising with water with a couple of drops of washing up liquid added is useful to get the hang of creating micro-foam. The necessary vortex is easier to see in water than in bubbling milk where you have to rely more on sound.Once you get it right though it seems to have more pressure, produces good foam and heats up the milk faster. All in all a good upgrade for the Gaggia baby twin - and is less expensive then a replacement Gaggia wand.

Frothing goodness
I love my Gassia Classic; it's a coffee beast. I didn't think it could be improved but this cheap and simple modification has made it even better. I would almost say this is an essential upgrade to the steam wand which comes as standard. It's not difficult to get great results with the wand and there are a couple of videos on YouTube which guide you through the installation as well as how to get the perfect results once it's on. Very pleased with the purchase and the results.

Good upgrade for my Delonghi Dedica
Bought this after seeing a youtube video on upgraded the steam wand on my Delonghi Dedica. Wasn't too difficult to swap over and it definitely works better than the stock wand. Only criticism I would say is that because the tip can be unscrewed and replaced sometimes milk can get dried in the seam so it is a bit harder to clean then if the wand was completely smooth. But this is a minor issue.
