We bought this to fix a few small surface scratches in the finish of our coffee table. It's a bit of an off black and has a matte finish. We worried that the kit might make the filled in scratches shiny or not be the same black as the table but were pleasantly surprised with a perfect outcome, thanks to the ability to mix and match shades. Saved us a lot of hassle. Thanks so much!

I am super clumsy and have already managed scratch and chip my new engineered wood floor. So I was delighted to find this product. Worked fantastic on my medium brown wood floor (Khars oak ember). The dents and scratches were very obvious and a couple deep, but now I have to search to find them. Very pleased. I found both the pens and the filler very easy to use and the instructions straightforward. However am giving 4 stars as I wouldn't call this a total repair system. I used the lightest pen on my fairly dark floor and the match wasn't perfect but tends to meld in so completely because I have a rustic floor which is very grainy. If you have a light smooth wood surface to repair then I doubt you'd get a match and the repair would be obvious. I guess there is so many shades of brown its just not possible to match everything with just six pens. Fantastic value though if you need to repair grainy medium to dark wood.

These are a lot darker than expected. The markers are good in theory, but even the lightest one comes very dark, nowhere near the light color in the picture. I was able to use one or two of the hard wax crayons and they do a good job on superficial scratches, but again, it was difficult to match colors.

Purchased to touch up some minor blemishes on wood and laminated wood flat pack household furniture. Does the job well enough. Some guesswork is needed as to the best colour pen to match the wood concerned, so best to try it on a hidden surface first, and wipe any excess with a dry cloth before it dries. This also helps the touch-up to blend in.

Love this product, easy to use & very useful for disguising any chips & flaws to your furniture & laminate flooring. I had chips in my flooring) & used the walnut pen to cover them...worked brilliantly & also used for the grooves which had slight discolouration for when I decorated... Worked perfectly. When using... The best way to use it is to use your pen on the defected area... Wait a few seconds only & wipe over with a damp cloth... This will remove any excess so it not noticeable where you have used your pen... If left too long, you can notice where pen has been used.. Please don't let this put you off using them... Just follow my directions with a damp cloth & you will see your marks disappear. I will definitely be purchasing again. The only reason I gave four stars is that I would prefer to purchase more of the walnut pens only without having to purchase a full pack of pens which include a selection of colours I don't need. I have a full house of walnut flooring & after doing 3 rooms of grooves in my house my walnut pen has ran out... Overall amazing pens, other colours may come in handy for friends or family at some stage.

Product works well only issue was the dye in felt pen was glossy and wood was more matt. Good match achieved and i used other darker pens to hide some other marks on darker furniture. Well woth a try.

Bought this in the hope of hiding a bad scratch on my kitchen table. Was disappointing to see 4 out of the 6 pens were very dark. Only 2 were light. I used the lightest pen and the tip seemed to match the beech colour on my table. It came out brown even though it was very light. It's basically made my table worse and I'm annoyed I have to make the trip to return this for a refund. Avoid unless you have dark mahogany furniture cause the light pens come out brown too.

Not sure why but the black pen in this set has dried up after 10 minutes use on the finest line of wear on the side of a table. The package was fine & the pen's top was fully on upon arrival & I didn't use it for more then a couple of mins before replacing the cap for a few moments. Very, very disappointed after reading the other reviews - thought this would be good but not for me. Have had to use the dark brown 'mahogany' pen to dull the light line showing through the worn black ash wood stain & now that too has dried up! Think I got a bad set.
