This journal is so so beautiful I can’t believe the beauty of it! The size is perfect, the paper is amazing and thick. I used a fountain pen with waterproof ink + watercolours and it didn’t bleed everywhere or didn’t touch the back of the page (as shown on the photos) 😍😍 The leather is gorgeous and smell fantastic. It feels like a precious object to have and I can imagine giving it to my child years later with pages full of drawings, poems, quotes and memories. Absolutely in love with this journal ❤️

This book is a fantastic piece of work. It provided the foundation for my son’s secondary school project. His chosen project was the plague and he worked through the subject as if it were his doctor diary. The scent of the book itself already added to its magic. The binding of the pages is fantastically ingenious and sturdy. The paper sheets are extremely excellent quality, only Sharpie-type makers bleed through them. When erasing, the yellowish paper loses its colour but even this fits the overall effect. It can handle glue stick adhesive very well. With this book a wonderful piece of a work created. I strongly recommend this book to anyone.

Repeat buyer. Whenever someone mentions anything about wanting a notepad/journal I go straight to Moonster and the products never fail to deliver on quality. I absolutely love this journal, from the leather binding to the aged effect of the pages. I wish it was for me, but its bougt as a gift for someone for Christmas. I'm sure he will love it, as it is perfect for what he wants to use it for. - The journal feels and looks amazing, soft dark brown leather and light in weight overall. The distressed page edges are perfect and make the book look magical and ancient. The craftmanship is impressive, with no faults or imperfections to be found. This isnt the first, and it wont be the last time I buy products from Moonster becuase their products are absolute perfection.

Good prompt delivery from seller, it arrived on the date stated. Amazon left parcel against my front door, knocked & left, didn't wait to see if i was in. Luckily I was in, because it was raining, I do have a roof porch but even so it was only in a paperbag/envelope. The journal itself comes in a linen type bag, which is nice. The only reason I've given it 4* is because it's a 3rd Anniversary gift (leather) for my stationery loving husband, so I don't know what its like to write in. But it looks fab, I'm sure he'll love it.

I was cautiously optimistic about the quality because of the amazing price but was blown away by the outstanding quality and attention to detail with this journal. The first things I noticed when I opened it was the smell of quality leather and the feel of it. It was accompanied by an information card from the company and I was also give a 365 day warranty which I have never had with a journal before. The company has a chat service if you have any enquiries or concerns which was also a nice bonus. The paper is beautiful and the added detail of the stitched leather on the spine was lovely and I also recieved a keyring as an added gift with the journal. There is nothing I can critique about this purchase or company. Excellent quality and fantastic customer care and the value is extremely competitive. I have actually purchased a piece of leather and cord to do a product so look out for that review too. All in all I am a very happy customer. I would highly recommend this for journal lovers, as a gift or a treat.

Sehr edel gemacht, allerdings riecht es am Anfang ziemlich muffig.

Je cherchais un carnet à la fois solide et agréable à utiliser pour écrire régulièrement, et aussi suffisamment qualitatif pour servir de carnet personnel. Dès la réception, le cuir donne une bonne impression : il est épais, avec un aspect vraiment brut et authentique. On sent le côté fait main, avec quelques petites irrégularités qui participent au charme plutôt qu’à un défaut. Le format A5 est pratique, facile à transporter sans être trop petit pour écrire confortablement. Le papier est aussi un vrai point positif car il est épais, donc l’encre ne traverse pas facilement, même avec un stylo plume ou un feutre léger. Pour l’écriture quotidienne ou même un peu de croquis, ça fait très bien le travail. Le carnet s’ouvre assez bien à plat après quelques utilisations, ce qui est appréciable. Le style est très “rustique”, donc ça ne plaira pas forcément à ceux qui cherchent quelque chose de très moderne ou parfaitement uniforme. Et comme c’est du fait main, il peut y avoir de petites différences d’un modèle à l’autre. Au final, c’est un carnet avec beaucoup de caractère, agréable à utiliser au quotidien, surtout si on aime les objets un peu authentiques. Je le vois bien pour un journal personnel, un carnet de voyage ou même comme idée cadeau. Et avec le temps et l’utilisation, le cuir devrait se patiner, ce qui le rendra encore plus unique.
