I have really dry and sore skin under and around my eyes , where I can’t put makeup on it . Would this be good ?

Would not recommend to use it as yet until your skin is repaired. Try using petroleum jelly under your eyes at night to re-hydrate them. Then give the ponds cream a try!

Is this really fragrance free? The description for the ordinary variant says its fragrance free but has an unpleasant rose smell which I don’t like.

I wouldn't say it's fragrance free. I remember my mother using this many many years ago (1980s) and it's always smelt the same to me so reminds me of her, I love it. Its a very mild clean smell definitely not rose or anything.
