Toslink Optical Audio Cable for Sound Bar, Home Theatre, 3 m, Black

Very pleased with this optical audio cable, it is very short which I don’t mind as it keeps the cable nice and snug and out of the way. I used it to connect my LG soundbar to my tv as the last one stopped working. I’ve got to say it is really good and it does the job it’s intended to do. My soundbar now sounds a lot better, so no more tinny sound from my tv 😂 If I had to say a negative part of this cable I’d say it would only be that the cable is very thick and chunky so a little heavy when plugged into the back of my tv but other than that I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend! Thank you! 🤩

I picked up the Amazon Basics Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable to connect my TV to a soundbar, and it’s been an absolutely excellent buy. If you need a simple, reliable, and affordable solution for transferring digital audio between devices, this cable is hard to beat. First impressions are good — the cable arrives neatly packaged and includes protective caps on the connectors, which is a small but thoughtful detail that protects the fragile optical tips during transit. The build quality is impressive for the price: the cable feels flexible yet sturdy, with a braided outer jacket that resists kinks and tangles without being too stiff. The connection was seamless. I plugged it into my LG TV and my Samsung soundbar, and within seconds, the devices were communicating perfectly. The fit is snug but not excessively tight, meaning you don’t have to force it in or worry about damaging the ports. In terms of performance, the sound quality is excellent. Being a digital optical connection, it carries clear, clean audio without the possibility of electrical interference — ideal if you’re looking to get the most out of a home cinema setup. Dialogue is crisp, bass is solid, and high frequencies come through without harshness or distortion. I tested it across films, games, and streaming music, and the consistency of the sound was fantastic. At around 1.8 metres in length, it’s perfect for most home setups, offering enough slack to route it neatly behind entertainment units without leaving excess cable coiled awkwardly. One of the great benefits of optical cables is that they’re ideal for transmitting surround sound formats like Dolby Digital and DTS, and this cable handles those effortlessly. Watching films with multi-channel audio really showcases how much of a difference a proper optical connection can make compared to basic HDMI ARC or Bluetooth setups. If I had to make one small suggestion, it would be to offer a version with 90-degree connectors for wall-mounted TVs — but that’s available elsewhere if needed. Overall, the Amazon Basics Toslink Cable is a brilliant, affordable solution for anyone who needs reliable, high-quality audio connectivity between TVs, soundbars, consoles, or AV receivers. Highly recommended!

It's an Amazon basic and have bought from them before. The quality seems good and this cable works perfectly

Nice firm click and sturdy dust covers which came in handy as these were installed inside a brick wall and mortar leaked into the back box and covered the tip - the covers saved the day! Update: lesson learned - don't cheap out on things you are installing inside a brick wall. While these are great for direct from TV to sound bar connections (you really don't need anything more elaborate than the basics, even for surround sound), once you add a few connectors, wall plates, 90 degree bends and a two of these, the light attenuation exceeds the threshold for carrying audio signal from the TV to the sound bar. I now have to hope that I can fish these out of the wall and draw through higher quality glass (vs. plastic) ones.

Perfecte kwaliteit!

Works perfect. I needed a longer one and was much cheaper than the store. Good quality and no issues with it.

Works great with vizio tv and vizio soundbar. Had troubles with bluetooth cutting in and out so got this. Worth it!

I recently purchased the AmazonBasics Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable (9.8 Feet) to connect my TV to my soundbar, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and build quality. What I Liked: Durable Construction: The cable feels solid and well-made. The connectors fit snugly without any wobble, ensuring a secure connection. Excellent Sound Quality: There’s no noticeable loss in audio quality. The sound is crisp, clear, and immersive. It easily handles high-definition audio without any dropouts or interference. Generous Length: At 9.8 feet (3 meters), this cable is perfect for setups where you need a bit more reach. It gave me the flexibility to position my devices exactly where I wanted them without any strain on the cable. Affordable: Compared to other brands, this AmazonBasics cable offers exceptional value. You get high-quality performance without breaking the bank. Considerations: Basic Packaging: The cable comes in simple packaging. While this didn't bother me, it might matter to those who expect premium presentation. Rigid Cable: It’s a bit stiff out of the box, so if you need to make tight bends or navigate a complex setup, you might need to work it into position a bit more carefully. Overall Impression: This Toslink cable from AmazonBasics is a fantastic option for anyone looking to upgrade their audio setup without spending a fortune. Its durability and performance are top-notch, making it a reliable choice for both casual and more demanding users. Whether you’re connecting a soundbar, home theater system, or gaming console, this cable will meet your needs perfectly. Highly recommended!
