Excellent product - does just what it says.
Excellent product. Just add the powder and hot water to the cup or dish and allow to cool. Stains vanish. No scrubbing; no fuss.

Wow! Astonish is a good name for this!
I don't I often write reviews, but I felt that I needed to share this with you all! I have a battered old thermos flask, used daily, I would brew tea in it, add milk and drink throughout the day, rinse out, swish a bottle brush and some fairy then repeat daily... Over time the flask built up a coating of black something.... Scale... tea.... Something, it didn't bother me until it started to flake off then it did bother me, nothing would shift it, bicarbonate of soda got a lot off but not enough and it got to the point that I was worried it might not be hygienic to carry on using it so I bought a new flask. I didn't want it to suffer the same fate as, ol faithful so I looked for something to keep this one clean. Found this and bought it. Thought I'd give ol faithful a shot at redemption so I gave this product a baptism of fire, heaped a tablespoon of the powder into the flask and poured in some just boiled water, now, the instructions say to maybe do it in the sink or on draining board, I'd strongly advice the sink as the reaction was certainly vigerous to say the least, a volcano of foam and what can, best be described as manky tea slime poured out within seconds and kept on going, I topped it up after a few minutes (both powder and water,) and watched with fascination as more slime poured out with the foam. I left it for the recommendation 2 hours, rinsed and gave, it a quick scrub with the bottle brush and it is genuinely as good as new in there now! Wish I'd bought it sooner, would've saved me a few quid 😂

Incredible stain remover
Incredible stain removal, works extremely well and brings the mug back to shiny new, no odour or residue after rinsing, excellent value for money

Does what it is supposed to do
Gets the tea stains off inside of cups, exactly as described although care is needed as the powder once mixed with water, is corrosive. As stated on the box, protective gloves and eye protection is required when using the product.

I poured out the mixture and most of the stains just poured out (and looked disgusting in the process)
I was quite sceptical how effective the product would be - I had a stainless steel travel mug with about 2-3 years of daily tea-stain built up. It was caked on and would not shift at all. It was quite an expensive mug from Bodum and was clearly marked as not being dishwasher-safe. Over the last couple of months during hot days the mug had got a little smelly, so I'd done a bit of research on methods including bleach, vinegar and bicarb I changed upon this on Amazon and seeing the glowing reviews I though I'd give it a try. I put one teaspoon of the remove into the mug with hot water and then resisted the temptation to check it for the next couple of hours. When I did, I poured out the mixture and most of the stains just poured out (and looked disgusting in the process). There was a ring left at the very top of the mug that just wiped clean. After a rinse I was amazed to see the mug looked as good as new. I then repeated later on the plastic top of the mug, which came out nearly perfect too. In summary, it does EXACTLY what it says it does and is brilliant value!

Pure as the driven snow - begone dull elbow grease, begone
Thanks to all the highly positive reviews it seemed worth seeing if I too would be happily Astonished. Well, I have been. Particularly with one china mug which, despite almost permanent attempts to scrub and clean with otherwise brilliant 'Bar Keeper's Friend' resisted my efforts to create pristine unsullied gleaming. I suspect because I drink tea without milk that the tannins really attach, particularly to the junction between vertical and horizontal surfaces. My otherwise beautiful 'one of a kind' mug, a gift from a friend, looked horrid at those margins. So......half a teaspoon, as suggested, in the bottom, and hot (not boiling) water poured over, I left this in the sink and got on with other things. Came back, emptied the cup - and, my, it looks as if it has never been used. Finally I have found something which will mean white china stays white china. Curiously, I have lots of ceramic mugs and cups, and all of them seem to resist staining, and can be easily cleaned of any tannins. They are practical workhorses. The more expensive thoroughbred chinas have been a pain, - until now. All the chinas, and the teapots,(ceramic, glass, not to mention integral metal strainers) have rolled over and surrendered, and are now waving white flags. Now I know this works, I shall be buying in bulk in the future.

This actually does work
Some of our mugs get quite badly stained from all the tea that gets consumed in our house. I’ve always used sterilising liquid which was ok but it never got rid of all the stains and left a nasty aftertaste despite rinsing. Then I read about this product which got great reviews so I decided to give it a try. Despite the many five star reviews I was quite sceptical about how well it would work. Well, I can say now that this product on first use completely removed all the stains from all the mugs I tried it out on. My mugs actually look brand new! It is very simple to use - it’s just a tablespoon of the powder in a mug and then you fill the mug with almost boiling water, leave to stand for an hour or two and hey presto the stains have all vanished. It leaves no weird aftertaste either. I’ll definitely buy it again!

OMG!!!
Astonish is a good name for this product, because astonished is what I am after using it. Do I give it 5 stars? No. 10 stars, at least. Really, it's beyond stars. It's galaxy class!!! I am totally amazed. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get years of accumulated coffee and tea stains out of an old cup? Seriously? I have a coffee cup (china / porcelain / whatever) that I got in 1993 and have used every day since then. Several cups of coffee in the morning, and one of tea in the evening. It was originally white, but over the years the inside turned brown. Dish lotion and scrubbing didn't faze it. I tried everything, every kind of cleaner product imaginable, Ajax, bleach, acetone, Goo Gone, isopropyl alcohol, Drano... even a drill with a green scrubby wheel. A combination of bleach, salt, and isopropyl alcohol faded the brown a little bit, but not by much. So I took a chance on this stuff. What the heck. It's not expensive. I might have to wait a few weeks for it to be delivered, but nothing ventured nothing gained, right? Well, it arrived, and I followed the directions. Fill the cup with hot water, add half a tablespoon, and let it sit and fizz for a couple of hours. When I dumped out the water and looked inside the cup... voila, no brown. Just a pristine, sparkling white like the day I got it brand new back in 1993. I didn't even have to scrub it. The brown stains just poured right out along with the water. I did the same with 2 other coffee cups. Same results. This stuff really works. I paid for it out of my own pocket. I don't work for the company that makes it, and I wasn't offered any reward or incentive of any kind for writing this review. I am just truly amazed at how well it works, and am telling anyone who wants to get their old stained cups perfectly clean and looking like new, you should try this stuff. You will not be disappointed. One other comment: I also used this product to clean a glass Mr. Coffee coffee pot, and it worked just as well on that as on my coffee cups. I had forgotten how clean glass should sparkle until I saw the results.

I'm not sure this actually does anything that a little ...
I'm not sure this actually does anything that a little elbow grease and baking powder could not do. Not impressed with this or other Astonish products.

Reinigt tatsächlich Melaminharz sehr gut!
Nichts auszusetzen, reinigt gut und ist vergleichsweise günstig (gegenüber dem, was man in der Schweiz bekommen kann für gegen 50.- Franken inkl. versand).

Good lord. My cups are spotless.
I was struggling to get the coffee/tea stains out of my bone china cups for weeks - scrubbing nonstop. This product worked wonders, my cups are now spotless. Excellent product.
