I had need of a way to tell if there was UV in a particular area and found this card--a simple, inexpensive, easy-to-have-handy device.I first tested it by exposing it to sunlight and it quickly showed there was UV radiation in the area. I then exposed it to an LED light bulb and there was no UV indicated--which is what I would expect from an LED light source.I found the exposure scale on the back to be particularly useful as it gives an idea of the amount of exposure over time and can be good when you need to know if something has received a minor or major dose of UV. This could range from exposure to sunlight to exposure to another source.Overall I find it very useful and am glad for my purchase.

Works great and it’s very easy to read

So I decided to make myself a environmental test kit. I have detectors to measure just about anything except light. Sure a light meter sort of works but a photospectrometer is what I want. My wife says 3 or 4 K is not in the budget this week so have to find another way.While not everything inclusive this inexpensive card shows the presence and strength of UVA and UVC light. You can see the strength difference from clear, overcast, and clouds, and even elevation changes. You can also read strength of man made UV, germinicidal lamps, welding, grow lamps.It opens up a lot of interesting information for its 10 buck price.

This UV test card will check the presence of UV A/B and measure its strength.It will also indicate the presence of UVC but cannot measure its strength.

Very excellent tool. For saltwater fish lighting, this is a must-have. It's rare that something inexpensive works as well as this does.

It works good. I have two devices one that is UVC and one that is UV (non-UVC), and it identified them both correctly. And it has an age of the UV bulb tester on the flip side. The device with the UVC bulb was on the low side - not much life left or it is an indication that it maybe be just a weak UVC bulb strength light wise. Whereas my UV (non-UVC) device has a larger more powerful bulb and it registered as having a lot of life left in the bulb.It is good to have this simple UV test card - to be able to know you have a real UVC light source and how much life it may have left in regards to the strength it has for zapping germs and viruses ...etc.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:What the listing doesn't mention is the UV-reactive ink loses effectiveness over time, so this card will be useless after 2-3 weeks. It's fun while it lasts but unless you want to continue paying $9~ for each replacement this is NOT value for money.

I returned the EIDEAL UV & UVC Test Card because it doesn’t actually measure UV strength—it just vaguely suggests that UV is present without providing any real information. It was received at their return warehouse on January 13, 2025, yet I still haven’t received my refund.
