5-tube Nixie Clock V1 (DIY Kit, with paxolin top)

The sensor that you need to use to change the time etc is way to sensitive. it works in a way you hold your hand above the clock and it will sense your hand as you move it. At different heights. But the clock would enter different modes etc for no reason while there was no hand above it. No matter what I tried I was unable to tame it and ended up sending it back as faulty. The instructions was followed to the "t" and I even tried to speak with the seller but the suggestion did not work out.

OK, So I messed up my build a little the first time - my bad - the lesson is that they're pretty delicate, take your time and read the instructions properly, don't just look at the pictures! However, once together, they're a work of art! Absolutely beautiful, unique, and a great reminder of how far and fast technology has progressed.

This was a great kit to assemble. Instructions are clear to follow and the clock worked first time. The nixies look great, especially in a darkened room. The blue under-lighting works really well. Minor issues with the IR sensor were solved with improving the optical seal between the sensor and top plate with a small piece of blu-tak! The novel menu navigation using the IR proximity feature takes some getting used to though - you need some patience! All in all though a great kit.

Great product and has that different look about it, it is small and looks very good when all together. Building it had some issues but received a lot of help by email of them which resolved evething. I would recommend getting this product definitely worth the money.
