The chemical reaction that takes place, in order for it to be accurate, requires that the urine be in the bladder for at least an hour. How can you detect ph lower than 5, when the chart only goes 5 and up? What color would signify lower than 5?

Hello, it would be almost impossible to get a urine pH of below 5. The urine ph test strips can measure only down to this level.

What if it changes colors after like 20 minutes? Are those results still reliable?

As the color pads on the UTI test strips dry out, they will naturally get darker. Any color after 2 minutes is invalid. Please disregard all readings after 2 minutes.
