Fantastic bag for the price. I've had this bag a year now and I've only had one problem with it. I wearing it for everything, and have been using it almost everyday. It works well for normal use and travel purposes. It protects my laptop really well and is very comfortable to wear. It also had ample space for clothes and books or whatever you want to store in it. The top pocket is perfect for a little digital camera, which is where I store mine and the pocket at your back is great for storing and external hard drive for your laptop. The only issue I had with it was that the seem on one of the front pockets came out after about 4 or 5 months of use meaning there was a hole between the sip and material but a quick session of sewing meant it was back to being as good as new. Overall a fantastic bag and I would recommend.

Great bag, well made and lots of pockets. Big and small Zips are reasonable quality. Bought it for backpack for holidays. Wife kept moaning someone could easily get in pockets when in crowds in Rome. Didn’t happen but bought some zipper clips to put on for next time. I can also use for tennis equipment bag as I can get two racquets in, so might by another.

I've had this bag for 9 months and I've got mixed feelings on it after using it every day in that 9 month period :) I love the way it's layout out, I think a couple more smaller mesh pockets would have been nice, instead of having the main compartment, the laptop section, the small front section and then a bit in-between the front and main parts, I would have preferred a larger main compartment! The aforementioned 'middle bit' seems like an unnecessary addition to the bag, I find it useless and have never managed find a purpose for it. Other than the above parts I do really like this bag, using it to carry all of my tech goodies around with me every day is great! I had a messenger style Targus from a good 6 years ago and it was doing the same until I got rid of my laptop :) So I opted to get a 'standard' backpack and landed here, the cost is definitely a fair amount for a bag, but I almost feel like I'm getting my money's worth.. That almost... I was really loving it until the start of this week, when I lifted it onto my shoulder and heard a tearing noise... I almost hoped it was my jacket, unfortunately it was the bag. Just underneath the (really strong btw) carry handle next to a zip, there is now a 2" tear.. It's not really a repairable rip either.. So I'm not sure what to do with it :P I almost definitely can't get away with an RMA, it's just standard wear and tear I guess, I think I'm just disappointed that such a high quality product can suffer so easily from damage after only 9 months. Just putting it out there, I'm extremely careful with anything I use and I don't think I've ever flung this bag around :) Other than that I'd say it's a great bag, just don't expect it to last years :(

This is up there as one of the best laptop bags out there. The quality of stitch and materials is good. The pockets can all hold what is expected of them. The laptop compartment can hold a 15.6" laptop with any power supply and other peripherals. The only gripe is the price. But if it lasts as long as my old Targus bag, 11 years, it's money well spent.

I was looking for a bag big enough to take not just a laptop and cables but also all the kit I need to survive as an "Agile" worker in a world of hot desks and no permanent base. The Targus Drifter lets me lug (all this stuff isn't the lightest) a 15 inch laptop, charger, big bag of cables and connectors, iPad, day book and papers, a bunch of pens, staplers,scissors etc, with room for my lunch, tea bags and insulated mug - all the essentials. Still got room for other stuff, including a MacBook for creative days when the work Windows machine isn't enough. And it looks pretty good too, if a little large compared the original HP bag that came with the laptop, but that could only just take the charger and nothing else. This bag has loads of pockets so I can keep everything organised, still not using some of them! Been using this for a month and it seems up to the usual pretty good manufacturing standards I've come to expect from Targus - this is my third bag (others sold on, not fallen apart). All in all seems like a good choice at a good price if you have a reasonable amount of kit and papers you want to carry around and keep organised.

This is such a mixed bag it's difficult to know where to start. There are lots of good things about it. The construction is excellent, really well made and my favourite pack over the years in terms of ruggedness. It has many compartments, and it's at this point things go a bit wayward. Internally it seems to have been designed by a committee working remotely. Logically it makes perfect sense, but practically it falls down. It's as large as the swissgear back it replaces, but seems to hold half as much stuff. There is one large compartment, but it is split in two with a divider, this is in addition to the pouch for a laptop. The biggest problem for me though is the number of times I've been stopped in the street by strangers who inform me my bag is open. Times this happened with the Swissgear or any other backpack? Zero. Number of times in the few months I've had this? Too many to remember, perhaps a dozen?? The problem seems to be, if you zip the compartments up at the top, they undo themselves. If you zip them all the way around to the bottom edge, they (probably) stay closed. I'm probably not doing it "right", or Targus didn't test it. One or other. tl;dr: Good quality bag, odd compartmentalisation, zips undo themselves.

Having had a previous targus bag I had struggled to get a replacement trying Swiss and sports brands however these both fell apart very quickly. I purchased this bag hoping to get the same quality of its predecessor and it has not dissapointed, it is rugged and built to handle a decent load while keeping my laptop, tablet and phone safe. It has a massive array of pockets suitable for all my geek needs and some nice internal padding for my items with screens (11" tablet and 7" tablet" It is incredibly well made with zips, handle (containing tensile wire) and straps all being built to last. Good Job Targus for an excellent quality bag at a very reasonable price for the standard which is incredibly high. A+++ on this one, would highly recommend it for anyone who wants decent size and a very hard wearing bag !

This is my second and I am very pleased it is still available. The first lasted for 3 years and all zips and straps still servicable after being used every week however the corners had worn through which may have been due to spending 500miles every week in a motorcycle top box. I used this to commute with two laptops, power supplies weekly necessities and tools for IT equipment including books cables sandwiches and it can hold 2 pints of milk in the zip up side pocket which was one of my requirements. It was often stuffed to the seams yet handled very well and was comfortable to carry on my back. It has enough pockets and sections for holding smaller items and the upper zip compartment on the outside extends down to the base of the bag behind the lower compartment and useful for stuffing gloves and hat for winter, the odd cable while headphone case sits above. Well done Targus and please continue to manufacture this bag to the same specifications.

Je cherchais un sac comprenant de nombreuses poches pour pouvoir ranger de manière efficace tout le bazar dont j'ai besoin lors de mes trajets quotidiens. J'ai trouvé mon bonheur avec ce sac qui possède : - 3 grands compartiments qui font la hauteur du sac dont un pour mon ordinateur 15 pouces qui est matelassé (le plus près du dos). Les 2 autres compartiments sont suffisamment grands pour accueillir des vêtements de sport et des portes documents. - 6 poches supplémentaires avec des rangements intégrés pour certaines (voir photos) dont une poche cachée dans le dos du sac, et une poche très pratique sur le dessus du sac. Au porté, je le trouve confortable, le dos est bien rembourré et le maintien stable. Je recommande sans problème. A dispo si vous avez des questions :)

Ich habe mir den Rucksack gekauft, da ich auf der Suche nach einem Allrounder war, der in meinem Alltag bestehen kann. Ich bin täglich mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln unterwegs und nehme mir auch oft etwas für die Mittagspause von zu Hause mit. Zudem habe ich immer midestens mein Surface dabei, ab und an auch ein zusätzliches Notebook. Die Anforderungen waren also klar: ich brauchte einen Rucksack, der mein Surface Pro und ein Notebook samt Zubehör (Netzteile, USB / Bluetooth Maus, Kabel, Adapter) aufnehmen kann und bei dem ich dazu noch ab und an ein Care Paket von daheim unterbringen kann. Ich hatte vorher immer Notebooktaschen in denen der oder die Rechner irgendwie Platz hatten, da Zubehör habe ich reingequetscht. IRgendwie ging die Tasche immer zu. Mein Mittagessen musste ich dann aber in einer extra Tasche rumtragen. Das ist mir grade in öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ein Dorn im Auge. Und nicht zu teuer sollte auch noch sein. Also habe ich mir einige Rücksäcke im Internet angesehen und habe mir einige Modelle ausgesucht, die ich testen wollte. Dann ist mir dieses Exemplar bei Amazon über den Weg gelaufen, den ich dann auch als erstes Vergleichsmodell bestellt habe. Ausschlaggebend waren hier die Beschreibungen über die gute Qualität und den großen Stauraum und nicht zuletzt der gute Preis. Was soll ich sagen: ich bin bei dem Modell hängen geblieben. Der Platz ist riesig, anfangs musste ich meine Sachen suchen, weil ich nicht mehr geanu wusste in welches Fach ich jetzt die Maus gepackt hatte. Und ich habe wirklich gedacht ich hätte mein Akku Pack verloren, da ich es nicht an der vermuteten Stelle gefunden habe und das Fach in das ich ihn steckte dann 2 Tage lang nicht gefunden habe ;-)! Ich habe es sogar geschafft gleichzeitig mein Surface Pro, ein 15" und ein 14" Notebook gleichzeitig in dem Rucksack zu transportieren und hatte dann noch eine Cherry Slim Tastatur mit drin. Ich konnte ihn dann zwar nur noch kurz tragen, weil er so schwer war, aber der Rucksack hat das alles klaglos verkraftet. Designpreis gewinnt er für meine Begriffe keinen, aber ist ein toller pragmatischer Alltagsbegleiter mit Platzreserven. Ich bin zu dem Preis auf jeden Fall hochzufrieden.

Ottima borsa, posso dire che è la migliore che finora ho comprato per proteggere il mio notebook e non solo, molte tasche come le volevo, spaziose e con possibilità di mantenere in ordine gli accessori. Resistente e solida e di ottima fattura. La consiglio vivamente a tutti coloro che vogliono mantenere in ordine tutti gli accessori e protetto il proprio notebook, Anche l'estetica mi ha colpito e non solo a me ma anche tutti coloro che hanno notato il mio acquisto e si sono subito informati dove poterla acquistare!

I just love this bag. Have so much space. Its very comfortable to carry on your back. It looks very expensive and also feel more expensive than what I paid for it. The handle has a cable in it so it is extremely strong. Only weak point is connection to rest of the bag. I am only missing a place to put my pens in upright position.
