Awesome wheel upgraded from my Logitech dfgt because of ps4 ...
Awesome wheel upgraded from my Logitech dfgt because of ps4 compatibility The pedals, Took some getting used to as they are a lot stiffer and feel more realistic but there was a slight dead-zone about 10-15% travel of the accelerator pedal did nothing. I tried to adapt but could ne get to grips with this issue on f1 2014 ended up taking the pedals apart and resetting the cog. This was easy to do and fixed the problem 100%. Also a good thing is the wire from the pedals and be channelled underneath and exit from left or right of the base plate. There is also mounting holes to bolt them in place. The steering wheel, The feel of the wheel is awesome the paddle shifters feel like quality when shifting making a lot better that my Logitech homemade paddle shifters, the force feedback is awesome quite strong and silent compared to the dfgt. The clamp could be better as the clamp would occasionally flex and the wheel would lift up slightly when fighting the feedback (only on driveclub on 100% feedback very minor) The wheel can be bolted down with 2 M6 machine screws I have a gamepod gt2 race chair and its bolted to that nicely. The wheel and the pedals are good Yeah I guess they are expensive but atm without an alternative force feedback wheel on the market a defo worthy upgrade on my Logitech dfgt and I am happy with my purchase

Amazing Product BUT....
The wheel is fantastic, Really versatile with how users wish to set them up dependant on the purpose you intend to use it for. I have it clamped to my university desk currently and the clamping system is fantastic, solid and really easy to apply (Video's are on YT). In my case I'm currently using it for PC Sim racing until my Project Cars LE comes in March. The firmware updates were easy to do and the profiler is a really useful base level introduction as to how the wheel feels with the opportunity to test how the FFB feels dependant on the settings you have. Then in the sim I'm using the calibration was easy to do with the wheel and the freedom to choose how heavy you want the wheel to be (Damping) and FFB was easy however does take some fine tuning as every car is different and of course also relates to the settings you have in your T300RS profiler as well as the in game options so beware on that! It also gives a bar for clipping which is where the FFB is being over worked so allows you to know where the optimal ranges are and of course that's for every individual taste and specification. I hope it shall be a similar process for the PS4 & Project Cars when that's released. The problems: - Pedals: I'm a disabled driver using an automatic so for me I only use my R foot to alternate between the two pedals. The issue as many T300RS users would I'm sure of experienced by now is the brake is not progressive. so in order to apply even a little brake it requires to be pushed down a lot and I felt the pedal was rather heavy for a brake. Also unless mounted it can be very difficult to use with regards to the base lifting up especially when fully pressing down on the pedals I have experimented with options to try and secure them but have yet been unsuccessful in finding a good method. I'm going to look at alternative pedals for this system given these issues I experienced but everything else was second to none I have owned wheels in the past and I don't think there are better options available for this price in the market at this time. Asides from the pedals the system is a great purchase and whilst alternatives are available I'm very pleased with both the product and Amazon service I received during the ordering process.

The force feedback is awesome quite strong so strong it could break a kids ...
What can i say!! Ive had and used a few different types of wheels over the years but nothing comes close to the performance this beast delivers, ive probably played 6hrs on drive club and my arms n wrists n legs are done!! what a workout compared to sitting there with a controller... The force feedback is awesome quite strong so strong it could break a kids arm or wrist but hey kids stay away from a mans gaming wheel full stop... This t300rs has changed my racing games big time it's. Pedals are good not the best but good to jump rite in and are robust to last...the sad thing i was hoping was a 3 pedal set with clutch but you can upgrade to other fancy pedal set as this t300rs is compatible with most of the thrustmaster add-ons etc. Gear shifter/rims/pedals so on. The main body is not to heavy the fan is quite too. ultra smooth feel awesome feedback.. Overall this is a bit steep on price but heck this is so so cool bit of gaming kit, well made feels good... You know you want one..... you will not regret this perchase.

Mmmm, got there eventually!
Got my shiny new t300rs, fixed it to my wheel stand pro (1st gen). Fired up the ps4 & driveclub only to find that acceleration is fine but the brakes don't work! Tried it on the PS3 with f1 2014 and found the same. I downloaded software from the Thrustmaster site so that I could test the unit on my pc. Sure enough the brake pedal only registers 50% at best. Reloaded software as per Thrustmaster instruction but it's the same. For what it's worth the wheel itself felt great so far but can't really review fully unless all working 100%. I do hope this can be resolved as this is my first experience with Thrustmaster and it ain't going too well at present! I will amend my review once (if) progress is made. Regards, Tim. Edit: 2 days later I am being sent new pedals. I had to send Thrustmaster a video showing the fault (registering only 50% braking on the PC software) also had to send a picture of the wires to the pedal set cut in two! They don't want the old ones back & I guess they want to make sure I'm not just after another pedal set. Should have them in a week or so. Watch this space. Edit no2: after 1 week my new pedals have arrived and all works perfectly. The steering wheel feels excellent, better than my old DFGT I would say. The feedback from the wheel is excellent and you are very engaged with the car. I have played driveclub and even dug out my PS3 & played f1 2014 & dirt 3. I would say that the pedals do seem to be a weak point and the so called progressive brake doesn't feel progressive to me, it just has a spring under it! They will do for now but if you are a serious gamer you might want to find some t3pa pedals. 5 stars for the wheel, 3 for the pedals.

T300RS vs G27
I had G27 wheel for 4 and a half years of extensive use till it broke down a month a go, which was actually convenient as it gave me an excuse to buy this wheel and buy the ps4 soon. I consider myself fast on race games, always near the top of the leader boards. After a couple of hours use over a couple days, I'm going faster with this wheel than the G27, which is most important factor for me. It's hard to pin-point why. The wheel is the same size as the G27, but feels slightly better. Also, when you turn the wheel, there seems to be no lag at all. I think with the G27 there was a slight lag for me, but nothing noticeable. The T300RS pedals are actually not as bad as I was expecting considering the reviews on here about them. But there are a couple issues I have with them. On a carpet flooring they slide back too much. The gripping on the underside of the pedals clearly not good enough which is a pretty basic design flaw. But that is easily remedied by putting a box or something against the wall so there is no gap between the pedals and wall. The other issue with the pedals is that there is no progressive resistance on the brake pedal like with the G27. I do not want much resistance when I brake lightly, but I want more resistance when I brake heavily. This is what the G27 provides. T300RS brake pedal does not. It's at a medium resistant level whether you brake lightly or heavily which is more of a problem when trying to brake lightly for me. Accelerator pedal, no problems. I'm looking forward to when I receive the G27 Pedal adaptor for the Thrustmaster as I should improve my laptimes even more. I cannot comment on the force feedback as for F1 games, one of which I was testing this wheel on, I switch it off. The G27 force feedback I always found to feel quite unnatural. Apparently with this wheel, it's better but I have yet to test it.

Outstanding product
This is the first steering wheel I have ever purchased and I can't tell you enough how happy I am with it. I play project cars with the t300rs and it's a match made in heaven. I wouldn't bother using this with Driveclub, the feedback and feel when playing Project cars is far superior. Though the t300ra is plug and play you most likely will need to tinker with the settings, which can take a while with some trial and error. I suggest googling some setups, there's good ones online. Once you've got the right game, got a good setup and gotten used to the wheel itself, it will completely transform your experience with racing games forever. the feeling of satisfaction and awe after completing a near flawless lap around spa-francorchamps, or winning a tight race when you start in 12th position, it is all magnifies when using this wheel. And the reason for this is simple: you actually feel like you are driving these cars. Project cars has developed their cars to each behave almost exactly like their real life counterpart, but it's only through the t300rs that you can FEEL the tiny nuances and characteristics of each and every car. This is largely due to the wonderful force feedback system that communicates to your hands and arms the way a car reacts to your driving. And of course as every car is different, the physical feeling you get from the force feedback is appropriately different as well. It's a night and day difference from using a controller. So to summarise, if you love racing games you absolutely must buy this wheel. If you don't love racing games, chances are once you've used the t300rs for a few hours you will.

Fantastic wheel... for the single hour that it worked.
Before i bought it, i knew reliability was a fairly large problem with these wheels. Despite knowing that i decided to order one, hoping that i'd get one of the good few. I got the wheel at 12:00 midday, and it was dead by 16:00. The wheel was unbelievably good in the hour i used it on f1 2015, the force feedback was in a different league compared to the G27. I than took a half hour break, and when i came back everything was normal. I decided to test it out on GT6 since it was practically made for Gran Turismo. So i plugged it into my PS3 and it calibrated normally, than i went into the game and thats where problems began. I glanced away from my screen and when i looked back there was a fine smoke coming from my wheel. The wheel had turned itself off and there was a distinct smell of burning plastic. I instantly switched everything off, but it was too late. The wheel wouldn't calibrate when it was plugged into my PS3, PS4 or PC. Thrustmaster support is known for being dreadful so i didn't even bother with them and i went straight back to amazon. And amazon being the great company that it is, are going to send me a replacement. If i hadn't already ordered the f1 attachment from a different website, I would have just asked for a total refund and bought a g29. I have lost all faith in thrustmaster, and if anything i was lucky that it failed within the 30 day amazon return period. The force feedback is much better than a G27 or a G29, its just a shame the pedals and the shocking reliability let it down. My G27 is three years old and its reliability has been bullet proof throughout the three years, I find it funny how my replacement for it failed after an hour of use. Even if my replacement wheel lasts for years, i would really struggle to recommend the t300 to anyone just because it comes down to luck whether you get a good or bad example. New wheel update: I have used my new wheel for around a week and its not failed...... yet. The wheel has developed an issue where it constantly loses connection to my ps4 and PC which makes any racing very difficult and almost impossible, this fault happens more frequently every time i use the wheel. The wheel has a weird crunch when i turn it 180 degrees. And although it has only happened twice, in use the force feedback can also snap to 180 degrees and stay there until i quit the game. I cant verify if this is correct, but the dead zone on my new pedals feels huge in comparison to my last set so there might be something wrong there. I have used the wheel a lot since i received the replacement and although its not technically failed, the numerous amounts of faults it has developed leads me to believe its pretty close to failing. Im fairly close to giving up with the wheel and just getting my money back. Although the wheel FEELS quality and the force feedback is still unbelievably good, i struggle to enjoy using it because I'm concerned its going to die any minute. Im not a fan of any particular wheel. Personally i dislike logitech for not supporting the g27 on the ps4, and although fanatec wheels look great there price is way out of my range. I would personally never buy a thrustmaster product again just because of the reliability issues. Although i disagree with the way logitech ignored its g27 owners, for this price range i would have to recommend a g29/g27 because of its solid reliability. The force feedback of g27/g29 is nowhere near as good as a thrustmaster t300 but personally i'd rather have a wheel that wont let me down. Im not saying don't buy this wheel because its a brilliant wheel for this price, just be warned the reliability is shocking. The thrustmaster t300 does have a 2 year warranty in the uk, but from what i've heard thrustmaster technical support is very slow and sometimes refuse to help you if you didn't buy from their website (not always) . But if your wheel does break outside of the 30 amazon return period, there is some hope. Update 2: The second wheel didn't completely fail but it was literally developing new faults every other day, so i returned it to amazon and they were happy to refund me all my money including the delivery costs. If i could take any positives in my time with the wheel, it would be that amazons customer service is second to none.

WHEEL QUALITY, PEDALS CRAP!
I bought this wheel on Black Friday and got it from box.co.uk for ยฃ230. They normally retail at ยฃ330 so I couldn't say No(or the wife couldn't say No!). I used to have a Logitech G27 on the PS3 so definately wanted a wheel of substance for my PS4. The wheel is absolutely amazing, it has proper transformed my enjoyment and improved my performance on Driveclub. Am so looking forward to Project CARS now. The feedback on the wheel is fantastic and being able to feel every bump and slip on the road makes such a difference. The feedback is so strong that the first week of using it my arms were aching. The wheel is brilliant and definately better than my G27, apart from the pedals! They are shocking!! they are like the DFGT pedals. I was having a problem where they were only braking at 50% sometimes. I figured out that where my heel sat on the foot plate was pushing down the plastic which was impacting on the braking sensitivity. The pedals are also very light so you have to secure them to be able to use them. I have since upgraded to the T3PA pedals and I would recommend you do the same.
