Series 5/6 53B Replacement Head for Braun Electric Foil Shaver, 1 Count

I have bought this product before in the past, and it has worked great for my husband, but when I bought two more replacement heads, because the other ones worked well these did not work well at all. They pulled his hair out instead of cutting it. And the razor also sounded different when it was running with these heads on there. My husband cannot use them. They are no good I do not recommend them.

Terrible performance. Tried both ‘new’ heads, neither sounds right (loud rattling compared to Braun head), takes twice as long to shave, and still misses spots after extra effort / time. Feels like a cheap, used, dull head - the old worn Braun head was MUCH better, and it was worn out. Really regret buying these. Saved a few dollars, but throwing away once Braun replacements arrive. Wasted money & bad purchase, don’t recommend.

This shaver head is an excellent replacement for my original Braun shaver. I'm very satisfied with this item.

Bought as a replacement but the new ones will catch your hairs. But otherwise work like the ones that came with the product.

Braun doesn't stand behind the shaver it sold me just 2 years ago so I was pleased to find this third-party substitute. Some negative reviews made me nervous but it beat buying a new shaver. I needn't have worried. The engineering may not be up to German precision (I need to verify that it's seated correctly when I put it in place) but this is a well-made product that works perfectly for me. I have a light beard and like several passes to get a close shave. Maybe I need an extra pass with this head, but I'm not even sure that's true. I've been using it for more than a month so far with no problems.

Save your money and buy the original Braun product. The heads on this advertised 2-pack do not shave as closely and quickly become dull.

Meets expectations

Pro: lower price (got what I paid for, I reckon). Cons: these replacement shaver heads are, in a word, junk. They feel like used and repackaged-as-new, or poorly reconditioned heads, worse than the well-worn OEM head that originally came with the Braun shaver. The blades yank at whiskers just like worn out blades (ouch), and the shave is not very close and smooth at all. To achieve a somewhat smooth shaving result, you have to work at it for nearly twice as long as you would with new or moderately used heads. Also, the heads are noticeably noisier compared the OEM head I replaced. Very disappointing product, not even worthy of a 1-star rating. Recommendation: save your money and definitely look elsewhere. Consider buying replacement shaver heads direct from Braun. bh

I know it isn't a branded replacement, but this product is extremely inferior. It doesn't have the same movement of blades as the original, the razor has to work much harder to move the blades and the blades are not as sharp and therefore pull hairs rather than cut them.
